The guy playing the paladin sux bigtime, not the char itself. There's many ways to play paladin like UD & take out a bow and hit the enemy or stun him then UD and try to arrest him etc. then there's AI which u TOL urself after that and once it's gone u can use vengeance and hit with a bow or if he moves far away u can heal urself. Paladin is actually a very good class if u learn how to play it correctly.

in l2 he has to "farm" pvps whilst in WoW u can at any time join a BG and know for sure that u'll find pvp and since he wants a "pure pvp mmorpg" maybe WoW would suit him better

not if u play on a serious low rate server & in case you play on a high rate server, a "pro" player will also be able to max out his enchants

This is not an exploit but a good char to win olympiad. Make a buffbot char for example ol/sws/bd/ee & just (1) spam drain (2)use augment bug (check exploits section) and try getting wm passive & any active skill like prominence and stack them - I had prominence augment on this char and was just ****ing up everyone in tvt events with my full buffs :P Enjoy.
