Hey, what does it mean you can't use chat? Like: 1. you can't use it at all? ( so even summon and other gm commands does not work) 2. Or you just want to simple write something like a sentence and it does not work? Case 1: Could be really stupid, but maybe enter chat? Case 2: You can't use chat while you're hidden beside GM commands and stuff (which is default behavior if you log in as an admin (in case of Vanganth packs)). So first try "//hide off" and then you should be able to freely write whatever you want. If both is not your case, please, give us more information so we can help you better. For example pack you use, which chronicle, try to describe problem in as much details as you can. Hope something helps ;) Sorry, I just discovered I missclicked a section and I thought this is L2OFF ^_^ Anyway, reasons could be similar, so I will let it be as it is. Cheers ^_^

Hi guys, as the topic says, my question is. What do you use to edit .dat files and any other files in Lineage 2? We all probably know L2FileEdit, but editing text files in that is sooo painful, that I decided to ask for few tips and ideas how do YOU edit the files? For example me: I was really pissed off regarding editing text files in L2FE, so I copy whole text into excel, I have all columns straight up and I do edit it there, or I copy it once more into Notepad++ and edit files there. Then I usually copy it back and encrypt or use L2encdec to put the files on their place. Still, this kind of workflow is cumbersome, so I would like to improve it. What is your workflow and how do you edit your files? Let's collaborate on this topic and I hope we gotta get some inspiration from others :) Thanks in advance

One thing is, that your L2file edit could be corrupted. Another can be, that files are not patched so you can't really work with them (but this way, you would not be able to even open them (am I right?)), but most likely, it is just that you changed or added something, and there spaces between some columns. -> You can't leave space anywhere in the file, only accepted is tabulator (TAB button above your capslock). So go and check the lines you edited if there is some space between each column, and if there is, delete it. If there still is some space somewhere, L2 FileEdit take it as a wrong file format and refuses to save the file

Hey there, just want to give some info regarding these systems. Gracia final systém does not work (at least not on my win 8.1 x64). After you doubleclick on the game, it just does not do anything. H5 client is also wrong. H5 patched systém has problém with dsetup.dll and you need to find another one (I was able to run it with dsetup from gracia systém). Both of the systems (gracia and H5) have enabled gameguard, so better to go to Fyree site and download wildcard for them (not mentioning that H5 systém has a Frost security protection from Innova as a bonus in it). I thought that all of these systems are gonna be clean, patched and with killed gameguard, so I was wrong, right? It is only patched so we can use it to decrypt and encrypt dat files? Or what is the point in it? Anyway thanks for you work and share. Really appreciate it! :)

Actually, I am not sure the guide is still the same as it is from 2008. Are here some changes regarding the modelling in Lineage 2? Can someone exprerienced in this field comment on this please? :)

So maybe stop laughing and give others (like me) an advice for what is better way to work with the files so everyone can improve their workflow. What do you say?

Hi there, server is crashing, because of lack of memory. Did you the all the steps from the manual "how to setup L2 off server?". Especially, did you set up the paging file on your disk? Control panels > system > settings > advanced system settings > tab "advanced" > look for a "Performance" > settings > advanced > look for a virtual memory > settings > set "custom size" on your disk from 1024(min) to 4092(max) MB. Restart computer, load the server. You should be good to go. Screen should help you to find it. http://prntscr.com/5cdc45

I did not give up. :) It it the last thing which I would do. All the time I did try to fix the problems on my own, besides writing on the forum here. (same it was with NPCS load, I figured out before someone actually helped me). About the patched systems. Well, yes, I did not look into the section on the forum and thank you for a provided link. I chose to search it via google and I had some results, but not perfect really. About servers, that is true, all in all quite logical. I did try it because I wanted to know if it can work or not, it was just an idea for a problém solving, which did not work out eventually. :) Thank you for provided info and insights :) I have a lot of work in front of me :)

@xel - I don't have idea about which systém folder you speak. I downloaded the pack from this topic, there is NO systém folder in it. Or could you tell me where can I grab the systém you speak about? EDIT: I am so stupid, I overlooked the systém folder in whole L2OFF folder, even though I looked again after your first answer about custom systém in folder. Sorry, got ya! @McBigMac - sorry MC, that I dissapoint you as such a noob. All I want is to figure out, what is going on and how to solve it and get better. Unfornutanely, I am not able to do the first point as you said (removing import tables). I did try to search it on google, but still, I am not sure, what to do ( I will get better). Secondly, I am not sure, what do you mean by patched 746 systém. You mean systém folder with revision 746? If so, it looks to me, that is is really hard to download one these days. I have basic clean lineage 2 install and I also downloaded the latest patch before camael. Problém is, that my game wont start only with the basic client files on Windows 8, dunno why, there is some error. So in order to play it, I need to find some custom systém from running server like L2mid or sublimity or whatever. I did download systém from L2mid and put it in my clean install folder. The thing is, ther systém folder is a bit different and they have a ini file called "Client.ini", where you can change the authport. So I did and changed it to 2104. Things started moving, but I am still not at the end. I have attached new Picture from my authD. Will this lead us somewhere? (Before I have asked you, I did try to search it on google, but was not succesfull to get a proper answer. Thank to both of you guys, I am very glad that there is still someone with a knowledge about L2OFF as you are. EDIT2: Sorry guys, I am really ashamed of my stupidity. I just overlooked custom systém folder for this pack even though I watched twice. It is now working and everything is set. OMG, two days because of this. Anyway thanks for the info and help. Is there a way, that I can load only some part of NPCs? Or the only way to load NPCs is whole set? EDIT3: Oh yes, there is, already found a way i think. :)

That is exactly what I want. Just to run server on my machine and test and play with it with client. I dont want to run server fot others right now. Problém is, that I cannot login into the game. Client looks like it cant reachthe login, I dont know why, I do try to investigate it and discover error. When I set up l2j on local, it was running without problém, so I suppose, that problém it between chair and keyboard or something unexcpected, that needs to be setup on L2OFF platfom. I do use pack from this thread, and there is no systém folder for the client, not the full client, if you meant this.

Sorry guys I forget that I changed DB to try it with my wan IP after it did not work with localhost and as you said, I made two instances of same server in dbo.server. I wiped DB and rewritten a server info. But still, even if it is changed, client just does not connect. Could it be on the client side? Or maybe firewall or something? I attached new server, auth and cached screens. Thank you for any kind of info :)

Yeah, I figured out that I have to have the same IP for both server and client. But because of something I cant really figure out, it just does not work. I have attached screens for my L2 auth and the config of it. By putting the ID and IP address into the database you actually mean dbo.server table right? I think I have put the correct information here, so still do not know what is causing my problém. It is weird.

Nope, does not work to move it just to another folder. There is not difference between one and other folder. But anyway thank you for trying me help out :)

Hello guys, thanks for this share I got an idea how does L2OFF work. I am new developer and I started to mess around servers just two days ago. Maybe some day I will start my own server, but for now, I just want to learn about it. Yesterday I succesfully started and tested L2j frozen server, but today, I wanted to try L2OFF with pack in this topic. I downloaded data, setup everything according to guides here on forum, auth is running, log is running, cached is running, server is running. I did all with IP adressess set on localhost and just on my Windows and I encoutered a problem. Everything seems to be running okay, but when I start and IL client with server address 127.0.0.1 and try to connect to my server, it does not connect. And it does not say a think why, so I have no clue what to do. Could anyone provide me some help or directions on what to do or where to look? I spend few hours trying to figure it out, but no success. It is really neccesarry to have a Windows server (for example virtualized) just for test scenarios? OR am I able to run it on my win 8? I used link from this site, doesn't work for reupdate. Maybe it is only on my computer, I don't know, but it writes after few seconds of download that: The downloaded file "l2offgmpanel.all.4.5.0.1.wyu" failed Adler32 validation. And then nothing happens, so I cant use it. Could you please provide me a direct link to download your awesome program? Thank you very much
