Old post but for whoever is interested, the answer of the moment is definitely Warhammer Online. You can reach top level without doing any PVE quest or grinding mobs, only by PVP if you want to. I no longer play L2 because WAR has no boredom factor. No stupid sh1t like XP and item loss on death and getting raped by high level players. Instantly join an open warband and run from a raid to another, capture areas around the map. Nonstop RvR(Realm vs. Realm) Just make sure to select a high population server when you start like "Karak-Azgal".

Yep this is the smarter way of doing it.

Soultaker has the highest chance of winning against all other mages. Most of the time I pwn every other mage class with silence/doom/abyss in open pvp with soultaker even if they have better equipment. Sorry SPS lovers, SPS has nothing else but casting speed. When PVPing with melees, the only nuker that stands a chance is again, a Soultaker. The only things that will kill you is dagger blows and uber drac bow crits.

You phisher! L2 makes people evil and greedy for sure. In contrary, it has to be static IP or smtg like noip. Or, if l2.ini accepts domainnames, no problems at all. Not sure about that. There's no trying to enter in server db, instead, nabs are tyring to login to your fake server. And, this shouldn't work if the server is asking people to connect by modding the hosts file. hosts will override all redirects at the end and you won't get your phish. :P

In mass pvp if there's a healer to support me, I'd go PR, the paper archer mode and give the most damage out of my bow. Alone, hawkeye to survive longer. Snipe is great when defending castles. Besides the added range, it gives you the peace of mind while targeting people without worrying about falling down the wall by accidentally clicking the ground. :)

About S grade you're absolutely right but A isn't really that hard to reach. I got my DC robe in second week and +8WT today, after 3 weeks of play about 2-3 hours a day. The real fun begins after that, as you can imagine. :D I think I saw S grade only on 5 people so far. One bastard has both a Draconic bow and a Forgotten blade though.

l2rvb(infinitel2) is the best faction server I've ever played. I don't think this will work there because the server doesn't allow same IP chars hit each other. With two different IPs, it's possible but there's a good protection in place which auto-jails forever if you kill the same chars over and over repeatedly. And that's why I'm having fun there. :D I really like that server and wouldn't want to see it ruined like l2mafia did.

I've been playing for about 4 years now and I can say that Hawkeye and Necromancer are the best in most situations. TH is of course good but you have to be very sneaky to get close enough. I, for one, feel a bit old to play a TH anymore.
