hey ,i have photoshop cs5 portable and i want to make 3d text.i found some tutorials and it says to use the tool Effect and i can't find it

as you can see i am newbie and so don't laugh at me pls :D

No.The most of the work is done in photoshop , but ilustrator have some features like making 3d text that may help you

No. Illustrator is program which is needed for your tutorial.

In Illustrator you are creating 3D elements, in Photoshop you are modifying them.

CS5 has a tool which called Repousse, it's for 3D.
