Hello people, I'd like to request some help with a Python error at my gameserver.

When come this error ? At GS load, or when you try to use this NPC ?

 

Basically it's a connection you forget to close. The bad thing is you have no help about failing line.

 

I would search around here, where all connections are supposed to be closed :

                pvps.close()
                pks.close()
                pvprs.close()
                pkrs.close()
                con.close()
        except : pass

 

I have no clue how works Python, well try to check how works others scripts which use SQL stuff.

The whole -beep-ing Forum, Ain't noone to help me with that sh1t? Jeez.

I said to you higher to do some tests to define when errors come, I'm willing to help but I won't search your damn code for yourself.

 

Your problem if you don't want help helpers.

I don't think you get it, test your damn links, when you got the error on logs you got a location to search. This will cut research time by 10 or more.

 

If that can help you, someone got exactly the same error, so I dunno if he used the same script or if it's Freya bug.

 

Anyway you're alone to fix it now, I don't come back on this topic.

The problem is in the try: block, pasted few posts back. Object 'pvps' does not have a method named 'close' so it throws an exception, and the rest of the code in try block doesn't get executed (it instantly jumps to the 'except' part, which does nothing) thus leaving the connection 'con' still open (con.close() is never executed). So it sits there open for a minute, then timeouts and prints the error :)
