M4GNUM Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 150 PLAYERS? whit this configuration your server will lag with 30 online players \o/ Quote
Sunrise-networkz.com Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Then you never had a server, I ran a server successfully, without lags, with half the HW Stats. about 80-90 users before it started to lag, HW side. Quote
Unstopable Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 http://www.theplanet.com/ go big or go home. Quote
Sunrise-networkz.com Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 No, you don't go with TP, their Support is equal to zero. Go for SL or WebNX if you want speed, uptime and support. Quote
fanara Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 fanara, 100-150 players maybe? M4GNUM, go and die, will ya? are you sure? Guys, i dont care for a big machine, stay on topic, and answer if you want my question. If you cant, dont even bother raising your post count. Quote
ivan12 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 man change ur proc. , if u dont have a lot of money change to a pt4 or a core 2 duo/quad, but u are losing ur time with this celeron 1.6 GHZ, u will got laag with in the max. 30 player Quote
Sunrise-networkz.com Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The CPU has nothing to say when it comes to L2j. The new Generation Celerons are way better than the old one, they do even compete with the old P4 3.0 GHz CPU's. They have way more Cache and FSB, so they run alot faster. L2j is Memory intensive, so 512 MB should do just find, if you run the server with a Linux Flavor. Quote
Vampirian Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 i thing you need more ram(2 giga) isn't the perfect cpu but with 2 giga ram almost 300-350 and maybe more without crash. the problem is when the "event" starts(hero system, raids, place with a lot of people). just use linux and you are perfect. Sunrise-networkz.com Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 CentOS is better, performance vice, but if you are new to servers, or linux, stick to Windows 2003 Server, you can always setup Linux on your home PC, Dual Boot makes life easier :) Quote
