Thanks a lot.

0 rej222 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Arsh you dont need 10k rpm untill 800-900. I tried it my self so I know what im talking about.
0 Arsh Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Arsh you dont need 10k rpm untill 800-900. I tried it my self so I know what im talking about. Personal point of view. If i can i start directly with them, less server loading times, less sql executions time, less disk access time ( not only related to l2 ), and i should not bother mysqlf changing them later,so :)
0 Codec Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Guys wait, I'm talking about 350-500 people for beginning, after 500-550 players i will transfer it to much better server (i found already) for 800+ players... Will see how the work will go. Can't talk about this yet.
0 rej222 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Take my setup and u wont have probelms in the future or what so ever.

Hello (and sorry if I am posting on a wrong thread, but I didn't find any section relating to "Dedicated servers" only")
I am abou to open a serious l2 server and for now, I found 2 dedicated servers and I want your opinion which you prefer.
So here we go:
1)
Intel Core i7-920
6 GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 500 GB SATA II HDD
500 GB Backupspace
3000 GB Traffic inclusive
100 MBit FD fast-ethernet connection
Windows Server 2008
2)
AMD Phenom II X4 965
6 GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 500 GB SATA II HDD
500 GB Backupspace
3000 GB Traffic inclusive
100 MBit FD fast-ethernet connection
Windows Server 2008
It's for start, later maybe we will prefer taking a better cpu and 14+ RAM
With these specifications, and the connection, will I get 250-350 players without any problems/lag?
Thanks a lot.
