EdenEternal Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I think everyone who has ever a server always encounter the same problem: lack of virtual memory. How to fix it? look here http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/8359/58515066hn2.jpg[/img] If you have no more than 2 gigabytes of memory, and no more than 300 GB hard drive - I advise to put in the "minimal amount" 2048 MB and a maximum 4096 MB. Once set the values we need - click on the button "Set". Then click "Ok" on all our windows open standards. Reboot and enjoy to take effect. Quote
Onix Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 excellent guide and nice work mate, thanks for it ! :P Quote
ZumbuL Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 No, that is not good advice. Take the amount of Available RAM you have, multiply it by 1.5 and put down the value. For example: 2048 MB RAM * 1.5 = 3072. That should be your MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM VM. The guide is good at explaining where to change the memory, but not the end effect. Quote
Pinaepple Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 what about VIsta Win 7 ?:D thanks for your guide :) Quote
