Where is this setting? When I tried to connect to my server I got "Your protocol version is different. Please Continue."

make sure you have the correct client and about protocol is on server.properties for example on l2jserver is something like this

AllowedProtocolRevisions = 146;152

on interlude is

MinProtocolRevision = 1
MaxProtocolRevision = 999

MinProtocolRevision = 1

MaxProtocolRevision = 999

This is a very big mistake -_-

Any client can join your server. (Walker etc.)

I don't understand...I tried the patched system from here and I got Critical Error. When I tried with Ragezone's patched system the game started and I got wrong protocol version. The protocol version is supposed to be 146.

Edit: I'm gonna try something. I'm going to reinstall my client, use the patched system from THIS forum and see what happens. (I used ragezone's patched system first, but their's is an year old, and I saw that there has been a big protocol change from 148 to 146)

@Matim - I'm trying to fix my CLIENT's protocol version. Not the server's.

EDIT II: I get Critical Error:

2010.7.3 12:03:47
OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU : AuthenticAMD  AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ @ 1811 MHz 2047MB RAM
Video : No Video
PosCode : LS1(146) 0:0:0 1/0 [524]

General protection fault!

History: FL2GameData::LoadL2DataBin <- FL2GameData::BRItemgrpDataLoad <- FL2GameData::Load <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

EDIT III: Fixed it :) I reinstalled, used L2 Universal Patcher from ragezone and then copied MC's patched system. And it worked!

    • WHEN SAYING “YES” IS A MISTAKE Not every project is worth taking on, even if the client is ready to pay. Sometimes refusing isn’t about losing money — it’s about protecting your reputation and time. Over the years, we’ve learned to quickly spot the cases that are almost guaranteed to turn into problems. Here are the most common situations where we turn down work: ▪ The client wants it “like everyone else’s,” but with lots of custom changes and on a minimal budget ▪ There are no proper source materials, yet the deadlines are already burning and everything is needed “yesterday” ▪ Constant changes to requirements after the work has already started ▪ A task with a very low chance of success, but very high expectations ▪ The client isn’t willing to discuss the process and sees us as just an executor - A good result almost always starts when both sides have an honest understanding of the risks and real possibilities of the project. If you’re currently discussing a project and unsure whether to move forward — write to us. We’ll honestly and directly tell you whether it’s worth taking on or if it’s better to look for another solution. › TG: @mustang_service_ms ( https:// t.me/ mustang_service_ms ) › Channel: Mustang Service ( https:// t.me/ +JPpJCETg-xM1NjNl ) #documents #drawing #photoshop #refuse #cases
