Question

Posted

Alright, so basicly I wanted to know how all this L2OFF developing works.

I downloaded this Interlude Pack, followed this tutorial, and got my server running (i think).

Now, that I have my server running (it's in a Virtual Machine btw), I would like to see if it is really running by going ingame.

But ofcourse, I will need to create an ini file for my server, amIright?!

Well, thats where I get stuck, since I cannot find anything related to that. Might anyone be able to help me out? :)

Maybe someone can help me out a bit more?

What I've done now is in my router is set port forwarding for ports 2002 and 7777 to my VMWare Server 2003.

And I edited an L2.ini file with L2fileedit and put my IP there. But for some reason it is not working.

Maybe I did something wrong with the L2fileedit or my router is still blocking the ports.

Do I need to allow the ports in Server 2003 aswell, or is that not needed?

All help would be greatly appreaciated :)

Obviously you need to allow ports in 2003, if firewall is on ;)

However i seem to recall some issues with loopbacking into 127.0.0.1 or a network adress.

Remember to check your dbo.server for public accepted ip and if your l2.ini is pointing to local, lan or wan ip.

Thank you for the help, but I have found it myself already :)

I can get into my own server now!

Now another problem turned up, which I knew was going to happen.

When you make a GM character, you have to add my IP somewhere so the server accepts me with Builder 1.

My question is, where do I add my IP?

No, this is a custom feature a little russian wrote for you.

Check your ini's in ..//script

Well, I cannot find any ini file related to GM stuff.

But now I have another theory, maybe I get disconnected because the port forwarding isn't correct?

This is the ports that I forwarded:

NO.  Private IP  Private Port  Type  Public Port  Comment

1 192.168.1.110 80 TCP+UDP 80 APACHE

2 192.168.1.110 2222 TCP+UDP 2222 L2

3 192.168.1.110 7777 TCP+UDP 7777 L2

4 192.168.1.110 2106 TCP+UDP 2106 L2

5 192.168.1.110 2104 TCP+UDP 2104 L2

6 192.168.1.110 2004 TCP+UDP 2004 L2

7 192.168.1.110 2006 TCP+UDP 2006 L2

8 192.168.1.110 2008 TCP+UDP 2008 L2

This is what my Auth Config looks like:

[main]

ServerPort = 2104

ServerExPort = 2106

ServerIntPort = 2108

BlowfishKey = 6B60CB5B82CE90B1CC2B6C556C6C6C6C

This is what my server config looks like:

[CacheD]

address="127.0.0.1"

port=2006

[AuthD]

address="127.0.0.1"

port=2104

[LogD]

address="127.0.0.1"

port=3999

[World]

WorldId=1

UserLimit=1000

LetBuilder=1

[PetitionD]

address="127.0.0.1"

port=2107

WorldName=LineageIV"

;world name have to exact 9 characters.

DisableStart=5

DisableEnd=13

Then my console messages for auth are following:

[12:23:25] Welcome to hAuthD

[12:23:25] Loaded: 'Black_IPs.txt'

[12:23:26] Server 1 loaded: IP=*********, Inner_IP=127.0.0.1, Port=7777

[12:23:26] Server ready on port 2104

[12:23:26] ServerEx ready on port 2106

[12:24:32] New world server connection from 127.0.0.1

[12:24:41] admin - success (192.168.1.1)

[12:25:00] admin - success (192.168.1.1)

[13:21:18] admin - success (192.168.1.1)

[13:42:35] admin - success (192.168.1.1)

So if someone can help me, I'd love you!!

Ok, something else I found out.

In my L2Server.ini file I have this;

[AuthD]

address="127.0.0.1"

port=2104

In AUTH console I get this:

[21:48:09] New world server connection from 127.0.0.1

But when I change in the .ini file the IP to the external IP, I see in AUTH console that it closes the connection with it.
