[Guide]How to use IG Walker in Frozen L2

Requirements:

IG Walker 1.52

L2 Auth Server

Both files can be downloaded from here: http://www.insane-gamers.com/index.php?categoryid=8 (Please click the google ads to help site owner pay for bandwith)

 

1. Go to your system folder and make a copy of the file L2.exe -> L2.ori.exe (In case you ever want to go back to original settings)

 

2. Locate the file "engine.dat"

3. Make a copy of engine.dat

4. Delete the L2.exe file, You should now have a folder with no L2.exe.

 

5. Rename the copy of engine.dat to L2.exe

 

6. You should now have a folder that looks something like this:

 

7. Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts with notepad and add the following lines:

 

195.251.249.120 l2authd.lineage2.com

195.251.249.120 l2testauthd.lineage2.com

 

It should now look similar to this:

 

8. Start L2Asrv

9. Start Ingame L2Walker 1.52, locate the L2.exe file, press run

10. Enjoy  ;)

i did everything but when i renamed "copy of engine.dat" it didn't became exe file

You have to deactivate "Hide extension for known filetypes" in Tools -> Folder Options -> View

2. rename file engine.ini into l2.ini ;]

this is nice post i do everything and IG walker works
