0 yhn Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 ofc you can do. a lol server... but it will deppend on your network connection and components from the computer. Quote
0 NosferatusS Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 ... i7 doesnt support L2OFF Interlude software, NPC server will crash ... i prefer you make server on xeon quad core.. anyway... l2off doesnt need good processor, but it needs loads of ram 4gb - 800 ppl 8gb - 1600 ppl 16gb - 2500 ppl Quote
0 cyperex Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Yeah why not? i7 is one of the most powerful ones out there... and yeah its true that you need to worry about the Ram if anything, but if its a small private server then 4 is more than enough, then if you think you need more upgrade to liek 8 and you should be good... 0 jeez Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Ok first off all you people are just bullsthing and trolling now. i7 works with L2off... dVampire ( shit extender ) doesnt work with i7... You have more extenders then dvampire u know... you got nextdev ( which works great on a i7 and windows 2008(not 100% sure)) and you got ET which is gracia Final atm and it works on i7 and win 2008... hey but u have ur own option make your own extender and make it compatible with win 2008 and i7 :) Quote
0 Sighed Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 windows server 2008 as server OS sucks ;) I tested it and it's not worth using it, lol i7 is a desktop processor and Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron are server processors lol. Of course for server i prefer my old tyan motherboard http://www.tyan.com/product_SKU_spec.aspx?ProductType=MB&pid=560&SKU=600000004 ;) I Guess we are talking about "Servers" not home "PC" with a DSL connection.
