Well let's see the installation:

 

Extract the file which we download and start with ftp client all the files that find in the file drupal-4.7.3 in server. (proportionally in server, usually in/htdocks or in/public_html/)

First movement is to make new database in the phpmy admin with name drupal (or other name you want).

Then we have select the base we make import the file database.4.1.mysql that is found in/drupal/database

(in this point good is reads the file INSTALL.mysql.txt so that selects who base will make import,

depending on the publication MySql that has server your).

 

In the next step we open the file/drupal/sites/default/settings.php with somebody editor and fix the url base of data.

 

We are ready for the installation and write in the browser www.mysite.com and see following picture:

 

 

Click in "create the first account" and in the next window:

 

 

We complete the fields and the settings of our new account they have been sended to the e-mail that we have given.

If we have not regulated server's smtp (time as in our case where we make installation locally with xampp)

write other password we have to make new install!

 

Now we are ready

 

 

to start the regulation of our new site!

 

Let's add some blocks.Click administer/blocks

 

 

and add those which we want with tick in "enabled" and select the place that will be found also the remaining regulations.

 

Now we will regulate permissions per team of users. We go in administer/access control and select proportionally our preferences

 

 

FORUM

 

Let's create some categories in forum. We go administer/forums and add container for the creation of root categories.

 

 

We supplement the "Container name" and the "Description" and in the field "parent" we select "". In the "Weight" we put number proportionally the line that we want are presented the categories (p.h 0 for the first category, 1 for second etc) With the same way create that root categories that we want.

 

Next step the creation forum in root category.

administer/forum/add forum and we follow the same process with the creation root with the difference however that in the "Parent" we select in who root it will belong. In the case in question we select "Discussions" and make  forum "Political". With the same process we make as forum as we want.

 

 

Creation of poll, topic, poll, story etc

 

We select from the menu "create content" the kind of publication, in the case in question as we make poll.

Theme selection

 

By default drupal has some themes, selects that we want. You will find it in administer/themes. However we can add other that we have download from the web,communities etc.

In order to becomes this extract theme's file and we add the extracted file in server in/drupal/themes. Then we go in administer/themes of our site and we select the desirable horizon default. Also with tick in "enabled" we give in users the possibility of choice skin.

 

 

 

Mark that in each skin it should you make also the essential regulation in blocks.

Add a Shoutbox

 

Download the file here http://drupal.org/node/10720.

n the phpmyadmin and in database drupal  import file shoutbox.mysql which is found in the file that we downloaded.

 

Then we add the file "Shoutbox" (that it is found in in the file "shoutbox-4.7.0") in server in /modules. We go in administer/modules and activate module "shoutbox".

 

 

and next to the adminster/blocks in the place that we want.

 

 

Shoutbox's settings are at /administer/settings/shoutbox.
