i have a problem with l2fileedit when i go to save and encrypt to save a file it tell me cannot open file c:/docume/ and bla bla bla anyone know why pls help

Check the syntax of what you have changed... There are some gaps that SHOULD NOT be touched... If you even touch one of them, it destroys everything...

 

Also, if you are editting the interlude files, be sure that you don't edit the armorgrp.dat of the weapongrp.dat They have problems in the encryption.

Also another thing that i 've seen.The version that i m using has a small "bug"..

I add the line and then i have to press enter (to create an empty line) and then press save and encrypt..

 

Maybe that's your problem

Nah the empty line after it needed in all version its not a bug. I managed to encrypt again armorgrp. But i found that npcgrp and weapongrp cannot be encrypted.

What are you talking about, it works fine with both skillgrp.dat & weapongrp.dat...and also npcgrp.dat...

It depends on the version of L2 FileEdit, which version do you use ?

I also have 6.5 and i don't have a problem neither with weapongrp.dat nor with skillgrp.dat, everything works fine, maybe you've made mistakes during the editing...

Always check your syntax, all the invisible gaps should exist, and add a line at the end. You can easily do a mistake during the edit proccess...

 

I never had problems because of my version...

I asked him about the version, because in version 6.3 there was an error with weapongrp.dat and it was the prog's fault not the editor's (wrong .dff file)..
