Lineage III

NCsoft representative Kim said, “It is true, I was shocked when we had to stop the development of Lineage 3 in May; However, we are going to start all over on January, 2008. We are going to put all of our online gaming technology we’ve earned through the past ten years into this project.” He then stated, they will NOT be using the Unreal 3 Engine, but creating their own.

 

The Lineage 3 Project will begin next year January 1st, and will be announced to the public in 2011.

 

Interview with NCsoft’s new President, Chris Chung.

“During our talk I was able to get the scoop on the NCSoft game line up: how the last year went, and what’s planned for the future!”

 

Lineage… III?!

 

No, not yet – but soon! Chung told me that NCSoft’s main concern was assembling the right team to tackle this project. Said Chung, “This is the year that we are assembling that team.” On the Lineage II front, the recently release Kamael expansion has done very well, bringing many players back to L2 to try out the new race. Hmm, I found something interesting too,

 

“NCsoft Announces Unreal Engine 3 License for Two Upcoming Projects”

- I’m not sure that some of this “upcoming projects” might be L3, Because as “Kim” said in his last interview… “they will NOT be using the Unreal 3 Engine, but creating their own.”!

btw, i’m pretty sure that NCsoft will make a good work!

A~ha! This week we got 4 thousand members in our Lineage 3 Community  It’s a good start, hmm most members are Brazilians (Portuguese) atm, but i hope to see soon members from many others places there!
