I am gonna make a little guide (its really simple)

You will need a few programs. (they are all free ware, so dont bother me with warez bla bla)

-Subtitle WorkShop DOWNLOAD

-Srt To SSA DOWNLOAD

-VirtualDub DOWNLOAD

Ok lets start

First of all look for a vid you want to add subtitles on youtube, Copy the link and go to:

http://www.mediaconverter.org/

1.1)

Enter your link.

1.2)

In "Select an output file type" Select "avi" option.

1.3)

Put start and your video will start downloading (dont close the youtube video)

1.4)

When its done you will have to download it (you will see below on the screen that says "download")

Ok now we have our youtube video on "avi"

Great, next step.

2) Install the Subtitle workshop, when its done open it and open your avi file:

Then go to file and choose "new subtitle"

Ok, now we are gonna have to add our subtitles, as you can see you will be able to see the time on this window (to see when the characters of the video speak and add subtitles in the right time)

I am gonna show you the easy way to add subtitles, and it goes like this:

You will only need to use 2 buttons:

What you will have to do with this 2 buttons is record the parts where the character talk (when he start speaking you press "start subtitle" and when he stops speaking you press "Stop Subtitle" Pretty easy, after you have that time between the speach, you will only have to add your subtitle on the box that is at the bottom of the screen.

OK you finish adding all your subtitles at your video, great! next step:

We are gonna save this file as SubRip

ixw6yt.jpg

Now you have an .srt file, excellent!

3) Next Step:

We are gonna open the "SRT to SSA" Program

Where it says Entry file (archivo de entrada) we are gonna choose our .srt file

Its gonna look like this:

We Press Convert (convertir)

Ok Now we have a .ssa file.

4) Next and last step.

Open the VirtualDUB Program

Now you are done! Check you avi file now and you will see that the video have the subtitles you made!

This guide is usefull beacuse with this avi file you dont have to do anything and you can upload it Straight on YT!
