WOW TIPS - HOW TO MAKE A GOOD MONEY ON OFFICIAL

 

     I will share my experiences in World of Warcraft. First, it’s not hard to make decent gold in WoW. You just have to know how explore the market.

 

 

1) Auction House and Addons

     This is the easiest mode to make money. You will need one addon to help. I recommend Auctioneer, but why? He has a powerful scan system.

 

 

     What can Auctioneer do to help me?

     Auctioneer can help you alleviate this lack of market knowledge over time by watching the market evolve. When you go to the auction house for the first time after installing Auctioneer, you will see a row of 3 buttons along the top of the main "Browse" frame, click the "play" button to begin your first scan of the entire auction house. Auctioneer will begin recording statistics for every item it finds, including the bid, buyout, and more.

     Once the market analysis has completed, you will notice additional information about the items in the tooltips when you mouse over them.

 

 

    What is this scanning about?

    Once a user moves to the auction house and beyond just buying and selling from/to vendors, the whole game changes. No longer is the user dealing with the static prices of the vendor to support their character's income. We are now dealing with the fluid and hectic nature of a dog-eat-dog market economy.

   

    In such an economy, which is in a constant state of flux, it can be difficult to select the correct pricing points for your item at the auction house. Sometimes the prices and value of your items can be wildly different to the vendor price due to many factors, the value of items that can be made from your item, the use of a particular item in a quest, the suitability of a particular weapon or armor to specific classes, and the disenchant ability of an item to enchanters.

     

    Primarily, the driving factor of the price fluctuations, as in the real world is supply versus demand. When supply is high, but demand is low, competition drives the prices down, and conversely then supply is low, but demand is high, the market is driven into a sellers market.

2) Professions

 

  2.1) Gathering Professions

     Mining, Herbalism and Skinning are the Gathering professions. Remember always to use Gatherer. This addon can mark in your map the mines and herbs that you, friends, groups members and guild members get if they have gatherer too. This make the things more easy, because you can know what kind of mine / herb that you can find in regions.

 

     In WoW WTLK, the things changes. The stacks of mines and herbs before the burning crusade can be sold more expensive than the WTLK mines / herbs. This is funny, but it’s true. You have difficult to find this noobs mines / herbs in AH, so the low levels characters can make gold selling this things. The same goes to leathers (skinning).

 

The best way to make money is combine two professions, especially when you have friends to help you.

3) Combined Professions

 

3.1) Mining and Blacksmith (Both in 450)

 

     This combination is good, since the BS can make one item that increase on socket in belts. This item can be sold to everybody. Now, with Ulduar, BS gain some news recipes, that you can ask gold to make. Some items can be made for 200g+.

 

 

 

3.2) Mining and JewelCraft (Both in 450)

 

     This is one of my favorite combinations. You spend some time mining and them can prospect the ores. In patch 3.2, Titanium Ores can be prospect too. The gems can be sold for good price. Red gems are more expensive. Remember, avoid sell gems. It´s better sell cutted gems. This is the medium prices in my server:

3.3) Mining, Jewelcraft and Enchanting (All in 450)

 

     Now you will need a friend that can disenchant your items. While you getting some mines, it’s very common get crystallized earth and crystallized shadow that can be turned in Eternal Earth (10 crystallized earth) and Eternal Shadow (10 Crystallized shadow). Store all these items. JC can make some rings using these items.

  This rings (green quality) can be disenchant and you will get Infinite Dust. One stack of infinite dust can be sold for +/- 40g. To sell this easier, make stacks of 5 and sell for 4g– 7g.

     These two items are blue, so if you disenchant you will get Dream shard. Each dream shard can be sold for 20g. BloodStone, Sun Crystal, Chalcedony, Dark Jade and Huge Citrine can be getting at prospect Cobalt and Saronite (WOTLK Mines).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Try to sell the gems from Tuesday to Wednesday. The instances reset every Tuesday, and then all clans usually start raids on Tuesdays. In the end get of the raid, players get new equipment that must be enchanted and socketed, then the best time to put it your cutted gems for sale is Tuesday for Wednesday.

3.4) Herbalism and Alchemy (Both in 450)

 

     This can be a strong combination with you want to do some fast money. Always collect all the herbs that you see (pay attention if Find Herbs is actived). When you collect the WOTLK herbs, you can get frost lotus (rare drop). Each stack of Frost Lotus is sold for +/- 300g.

 

     Another use for Frost Lotus is in alchemy. With alchemy you can do 4 kind of flask that everybody consume in raids. For

     Each of this flask can be sold for 20g to 25g. If you are not herbalism, you can buy the necessary herbs in the AH. Only Elixir Master can do Flasks, and when you create flask, there is one change to proc flask, in another words, when you do one flask, you can get 2, 3 or 4.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Try to sell Flask on Tuesday after maintence. The instances reset every Tuesday, and then all clans usually start raids on Tuesdays after the maintence, so it´s best time to sell. Remember to sell on Wednesday and Thursday too.

3.5) Cooking and Fishing (Both in 450)

 

     All players can have this professions, because they are secundary professions. With this combination, you can do powerful foods to help in instances and raids. These are the bestest food to take.

     You can sell it but is not recommended, because only people who have 450 in cooking can serve the Feast. The best way to do is sell the necessary items to make them. The stacks of meat can be sold for 10g to 12g and stacks of fish can be sold for 20g to 25g.

 

     You can sell too other types of foods. Just search in the server the prices to sell.

 

     This can be a strong combination with you want to do some fast money. Always collect all the herbs that you see (pay attention if Find Herbs is actived). When you collect the WOTLK herbs, you can get frost lotus (rare drop). Each stack of Frost Lotus is sold for +/- 300g.

 

     

IMPORTANT NOTE: To get the Northrend Spices, you need to do the Cooking Daily Quests. Do this quests everyday to get the gold reward. Try to do the Fishing Daily Quests too. Some reward can be sold in NPC for 25g (gray quality items).

4) Quests

 

     Another way to make good money is, while your stuff is in AH, you can do daily quests. You can complete 25 daily quests in one day. If one quest give you 13g, when you complete the 25 quests, you get at least 325g.

 

     So I recommend Son of Hodir daily quests. You start the chain to start getting reputation with them in K3 (in Storm Peaks). More info here: http://www.wowwiki.com/Sons_of_Hodir

 

     Another daily quests I recommend is the Agent Tournament Quests. This quests are good to do, and you will able to have different kind of battle. And more, you can get reputation with all of your faction races. More info here: http://www.wowwiki.com/Argent_Tournament

If you don’t have the Lich King Expansion, do all daily quest in Isle of Quelthanas, until you get 5000g to buy your epic fly. All quests there give you as reward about 14g. (Approximately have 15 daily quests to do).

5) Achievements and Events

 

     While Wrath of the Lich King improved many of the existing features in World of Warcraft, the patch brought in, prior to its release, plenty of brand-new features to everyone, and not just those who upgrade to Wrath of the Lich King, in order to help keep the game fresh and interesting. One of these new features is sure to suit a wide range of play styles: achievements. These self-contained goals offer new challenges, satisfy goal-oriented players, and allow others to see your accomplishments in World of Warcraft — plus, they are just plain fun.      The Map in WoW have all the events during the year. Pay attention in this events. All events have achievements, and a large of people do this achievements (like me). Some achievements require special items, that can be made by one specific profession, or with cooking or fishing. Pay attention when the events start. The price of this items may rise was 2 to 3 times more than normal.

     There are many sites that can help you to raise your profession, but my favorite is: WoW Professions ( http://www.wow-professions.com/ ). This site have a guide for every professions, with many map pictures to help.

server market varies from server to server.on shattered hand where server is medium populated, the stack of linen cloths costs 3gold per stack whilst on stormscale  which is full the same stack costs 75silver

These prices are an average that I did for a week, but they can vary from server to server. That´s why you should use one scan system in AH everyday to know about prices

Auctioneer is a very helpful addon.

 

When I was lvl 55 I had 5k gold.

 

It's not that without Auctioneer you can't make money, but it turns out to be a very useful addon.

 

Also btw IMO the best way to make money now at lvl 80 is simply doing daily quests every day. (After you've gotten loremaster of Northrend because more dailies get unlcked...)

 

I got 2 LvL 80s, and I make 800g each day from dailies in about 2 hours... + some greens that I Disenchant and sell...

 

So now that I got my epic flying mount in both chars, and my lvl 76 alt and a 16k-gold Mammoth I decided to give the remaining 20k gold to my guild since I quit WoW >.<
