German law is quite restrictive with respect to video games is something we already knew. Just as an example the non-commercialization of the video game "Gears of War 2 'or' Madworld 'in that country.

However, the news today goes a step further and banning a video game with retroactive effect.

Specifically, the prohibition is known to play a video game 'Counter-Strike "in public, outside the privacy of the home.

This measure has had the effect of canceling the convention German 'X-Treme tournament', focusing on a LAN party games in which the title of Valve played a major role.

The reason for this is the combat violent crime in the country.

Whether or not this decision logic, the truth is going a step beyond the prevailing censorship on violent video games there.

The effectiveness of these measures is yet to be determined. The only thing clear is that from today, the Germans will have a little more difficult to access one of the world's most popular games.
