[News] Need for Speed: Shift does not intend to compete with Gran Turismo

The saga of the new game Need for Speed for Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and PC want to be "funny", not "a driving simulator."

 

Jesse Abney, producer of Need for Speed: Shift, said in an interview to British media vg247 with the last title of the series driving Electronic Arts are not intended to compete with Gran Turismo, which are focused on getting the game fun, not so much a realistic racing simulator.

 

"We're not trying to compete with Gran Turismo in technological advances, nor in what I would call 'a driving simulator. That's not the point of view we are looking for fun, "says Abney.

 

"We look at what is a career, a grill with high-level competitors who will fight to maintain the position," he explained.

well, i think its very important the way you play, because when i play to gran turismo with a gamepad, so boring... but with a racing wheel is better, and on the other hand, i prefer to play nfs with gamepad :)

imho the gameplay of nfs is wrong.. i mean they only implemented few innovations in gameplay and its still the same from underground just race=> buy a better and mod it

NFS is a racing game ...what would u like to do in a racing game ? U just race ...it isn't a RPG style game ... jeez >.>.

For me all new nfs are just sux. the most stupid driving cars. the best nfs is nfs porsche! very hard and very good simulator.  not like this nfs.

Grand Turismo 5 Is beter Than NFS shift !! need for speed games arent for racing arenas only for street and i think shift is not very good ;)
