Interview with NCsoft’s new President, Chris Chung.

“During our talk I was able to get the scoop on the NCSoft game line up: how the last year went, and what’s planned for the future!”

 

Lineage… III?!

 

No, not yet – but soon! Chung told me that NCSoft’s main concern was assembling the right team to tackle this project. Said Chung, “This is the year that we are assembling that team.” On the Lineage II front, the recently release Kamael expansion has done very well, bringing many players back to L2 to try out the new race.

- I’m not sure that some of this “upcoming projects” might be L3, Because as “Kim” said in his last interview… “they will NOT be using the Unreal 3 Engine, but creating their own.”!

Το Lineage ΙΙΙ είναι η συνέχεια του Lineage ΙΙ από  την NCsoft.

Το Lineage III project άρχισε 1 Ιανουαρίου 2008 και θα ανακοινωθεί στο κοινό το 2011.

Στις 27 Απριλίου του 2007, Η Σεούλ Μητροπολιτική Αστυνομία ανέφερε ότι υποπτεύονται επτά πρώην υπαλλήλους της NCsoft ότι πουλάν τον πηγαίο κώδικα του Lineage IΙΙ σε μια Ιαπωνική εταιρεία online παιχνιδιών. Σύμφωνα με την NCsoft, οι πιθανές ζημίες που μπορεί να προκλήθηκαν υπερβαίνουν τα $ 1 δισ. δολάρια.

Lineage ΙΙΙ, προβλεπόταν αρχικά ότι θα  χρησιμοποιούσε την Unreal Engine 3, αλλά ένας εκπρόσωπος από NCsoft έχει δηλώσει ότι NCsoft θα αναπτύξει ένα δικό της eninge.
