Question

Posted

I have made a server using latest pack from l2jserver.com with svn.

The server machine is :

CPU : quad core AMD Opteron Processor 2334 HE 1.7 Ghz (2 processors)

RAM : 16 gb

HD : 2x500 gb 10k rpm

OS: windows web server 2008 64bit SP1

Internet : 1000mbit up/down

unlimmited bandwith

I search the forum for configs to operate with 1000+ ppl online and made some changes in mysql and server machine.

My problem is that even with 50 ppl online i have something like spikes and need to rr 2-3 times a day or else its unplayable!!!

so do i need to config anything else ?

When you install mysql or nevermind in mysql you put about how many connections can afford.Dunno if you know that,i just say it in case you dont.

For example for testing option can afford 20ppls maximum or other options are to afford more than 500 ppls on or to make you about how many ppls can afford.I think you problem is there and maybe reinstall mysql but first dont forget to backup mysql files.

where is your host ? let me guess ... USA ? texas ? if yes then get your ass out of there , they have law which is forbidden to open L2Servers in USA ... host your server in Europe .. less lagg , cheaper machines , good support

U have config startGameServer??

REM Default parameters for a basic server.

java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Xmx512m net.sf.l2j.gameserver.GameServer

If u have 16 gb u must conifg 16x1000mb=160000 mb

Example:

REM Default parameters for a basic server.

java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Xmx160000m net.sf.l2j.gameserver.GameServer

REM If you have a big server and lots of memory, you could experiment for example with

REM java -server -Xmx1536m -Xms1024m -Xmn512m -XX:PermSize=256m -XX:SurvivorRatio=8 -Xnoclassgc -XX:+AggressiveOpts

I dont know in 100% why u have lag but i try help u;]

The lagg basically comes from Winshit because with 1000mb/sec connection and 1gb allowed ram you need to handle without lagg 200+ ppl(with linux debian ofc)but windows run a lot of applications that eat your pc.And windows web server 2008?LoL...
