[Guide]Make Your Own AutoUpdater For Your Server

Well in this guide i will explain you how to make an Autoupadter for your server

i Saw stefoulis share it without pictures

i will do it detailed

 

FAQ

What Programs I need

 

1.You need an apache server  where you can find it here

http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi

 

Apache will be ur webserver

for now we will use it on localhost(127.0.0.1)

download the apache

install it

in 1 point it will ask you where it will try to host

then put 127.0.0.1

okey continue the installation bla bla

in 1 time it says finish

make a restart on ur computer

then on the tool bar(where is and Start button)

u will see apache services running it will be 1

stop apache

go where u installed apache

most computers here

C:\Program Files\Apache Foundblablabla\

there  it will be a folder with name htdocs

there put your Upload folder

about the upload folder u will see in the later steps

 

 

2.You Need a brain:P i think you all have

 

3.You Need the autoupdater you can download it here

Nothing Else

 

OK Let's start the guide

 

 

1.Extract to a folder the autoupdater

2.Then Open The Client Folder

 

 

3.Inside The Folder There Are 2 Files

The L2Updater.exe and _settings

 

4.Open _settings

5.Look At The Image

At The News Url Leave it as it has blank you don't need to edit it

 

At UpdatesUrl Put The Folder Where You WIll have your files that the other will download

example http://localhost/Upload (This is local test)

 

6.Okey Save And Close That File

 

Go to Your Server Folder

 

7.Ignode The File settings you don''t need to edit it

 

 

8.Before You Open The Upbuilder Move All Your Files you want others to download To The Client Folder

 

 

9.And Make A Folder Upload In The Server Folder

Click At The Upbuilder

in The Source Dir

Put The Path Where Your Client Folder is

In The Output Dir Put The Path Where Upload Folder is

11.Click Build And Wait

 

When Build Is Succefull Then Copy ALl The FIles from your client folder

and paste them in the upload folder

12.Almost Ended

Take The L2Updater.exe and _settings from your Client Folder

And Put Them In Your ----->LineageII<--- Folder

13.End

Run Check Full

Be Sure THe Apache Server is running

If i remember there is a similar share like this but not such detailed , correct me if im wrong

i love it.i think there is one guide with how to make this

but it hasn't any foto...
