Anybody know any insight about this project and who's behind it? Like who's the owner? is he a forum famous developer? any of you maybe helped/worked for them in the past and you know a thing or two about what goes under the hood and how they operate? what their servers are based on? Where did they come from? anything goes I guess.

So they started with acis? And built their way up from that, but acis was their foundation? I asked ai the other day and it mentioned an "Ales"

They use lucera as i know and not acis anymore

Yes on Lucera now they, anyway another bugged l2j people are retards who even playing this corrupt server. There are many other L2 servers which worth an attention but seems people are the sheeps, and after crying getting banned

They indeed moved from aCis to Lucera back in 2020 - he was running under the name p0w3rf1y over my forums (he shared some fixes under that name). I had access to their timeline, got kicked and ignored overnight. From what I know they also struggled using Lucera, but I got no contact since then.

Another honorable mention of who does actually hold a sort of authority: Troyz.

 

 

The project itself is - or, at least, used to be TERRIBLY corrupt and is known for having multiple alts on maxcheaters selling fabricated items in the past. 

 

 

 

P.S. Their staff split up and the leftovers formed a new project called "darkdragon", utilizing old database of Reborn they had for marketing purposes.

p0w3rf1y was Nikita? also how do these things work, they take a base lets say acis or lucera version XXX and then they build up from that to whatever they have today themselves without further company from..again, lucera or acis for example?

Made marketing, website and other bullshit, set server X1 retail shit and launched and plenty retards thanks for commercial came there to play coz was promised no wipe. First was using Acis coz Acis was provided source code and was decent files after swap to Lucera without source ( or maybe they bought source dunno) and wuolia shit fest in full action

I only spoke with him few times, so no clue.

 

Regarding projects, as any, you can fork sources you like, and do whatever you want with. That can include profesionnal paid development, or adding customs on your own.

 

And for few, rename everything, add customs and say it's better than the original.

 

Only Lucera is limited due to their plugin system and non-accessible sources (at least from what I know about that pack). With AI, the idea is now terrible (since now everything is reachable), but well.

 

So yes, you can start with let's say aCis (which only focus on retailness/vanilla) and then build, let's say, a faction server, an event bound server... You can create new scripts, rework pathfind, edit classes or whatever you want. 99% of projects got their sources accessible.
