WHEN SAYING “YES” IS A MISTAKE

Not every project is worth taking on, even if the client is ready to pay. Sometimes refusing isn’t about losing money — it’s about protecting your reputation and time.

Over the years, we’ve learned to quickly spot the cases that are almost guaranteed to turn into problems. Here are the most common situations where we turn down work:

▪ The client wants it “like everyone else’s,” but with lots of custom changes and on a minimal budget
▪ There are no proper source materials, yet the deadlines are already burning and everything is needed “yesterday”
▪ Constant changes to requirements after the work has already started
▪ A task with a very low chance of success, but very high expectations
▪ The client isn’t willing to discuss the process and sees us as just an executor

- A good result almost always starts when both sides have an honest understanding of the risks and real possibilities of the project.

If you’re currently discussing a project and unsure whether to move forward — write to us. We’ll honestly and directly tell you whether it’s worth taking on or if it’s better to look for another solution.

MICROTEXT AND WATERMARKS BREAK MOST RENDERINGS

Microtext and watermarks aren’t just small decorative details. They are one of the most common reasons a document fails verification, even when it looks decent at first glance.

The issue is that these elements are almost impossible to reproduce “by eye.” Microtext requires precise geometry and legibility at a very small size, while a watermark needs the correct density, transparency, and accurate placement relative to other security features. Any deviation becomes obvious during detailed inspection.

▪ What’s most often done wrong:

- microtext is drawn too thick or blurry
- the watermark is made either too visible or almost invisible
- the positioning between microtext and watermark is ignored
- the original printing technology isn’t taken into account when choosing density and shape

- The stronger the document’s security features, the less room there is for approximation. What matters here isn’t visual similarity, but accurate reproduction of the original technical characteristics.

If your document contains microtext and watermarks, this is always an area that requires extra attention.

Write to us in DMs. We’ll review your case and point out exactly which details need the highest precision during rendering.

YOUR ADDRESS IS DEAD. THE RENT’S STILL DUE.

You live there, pay rent and know which floorboard creaks at night. But the utility bills are in your landlord’s name. As far as the address check is concerned, your connection to that flat is still unproven.

Moving makes this fun: your bank has your old address, your new lease is ready, but the platform won’t accept it. You have a roof. Just not the right paperwork.

Each service has its own accepted documents. Some take a bank statement with your current address; others accept a residence certificate or lease. The issue date, name, address and issuer matter. One successful submission doesn’t make a document universally acceptable.

Check the requirements first. Get the document second. Perfect formatting won’t save paperwork the platform doesn’t accept.

Paying rent but failing the existence test? Send us the platform name and a list of documents you already have. We’ll check how to prove your actual address without playing upload roulette.

"CAN YOU DO A BULGARIAN REVOLUT?" – WE DID. FIRST DRAFT, NO EDITS

The request came in short: a photo of a bank card, Bulgaria, Revolut. We said yes and asked the only question that matters – what data. The client was on the road, asked for a couple of hours, then sent the lot: number, expiry, CVV, payment system, bank, cardholder name.

Then came the part the client never sees:

- ran the number through Luhn – the check digit has to add up, otherwise the card is dead the second anything automated looks at it

- matched the BIN to the issuer: Revolut in Bulgaria isn't a "local bank", the cards run through Revolut Bank UAB. The number range has to actually belong there, not just start with the right digit

- built the current design, not a five-year-old picture: vertical layout, flat laser print instead of embossing, correct chip module, contactless mark where it belongs

- the payment system logo – with the right gradient where the circles overlap and the wordmark sitting exactly where it should. A small thing that kills half the fakes out there

- and finally, physics. Plastic has to catch light: a highlight along the edge, a micro-shadow under the chip, a faint fingerprint. A phone shot, not a render

Sent the draft for approval. The client looked it over, signed off with zero corrections – final files went out. One pass, no rework.

A card is a deceptively simple document. Looks like a rectangle and sixteen digits. In reality it's maths in the number, a tie to the issuer, a current design and light on plastic. Miss any one of the four and the file gets exactly two seconds of attention.

Need a card for a specific bank and country?
Message us. We'll tell you straight what's realistic for your case – then build it.

AN ALGORITHM FLAGGED HER PHOTO – SHE SPENT NEARLY SIX MONTHS IN CUSTODY

A fake military ID surfaced in a bank fraud case. Facial recognition returned a social media photo of a 50-year-old Tennessee woman as a possible lead. She was arrested.

She spent almost six months in custody, though bank records placed her more than 1,200 miles from the crimes when they happened. She is now seeking $10 million from the city of Fargo and a detective. The lawsuit is still pending.

The system suggested a face. Humans were supposed to establish whether it belonged to the person behind the crime. The cost of getting that wrong was far more than a rejection screen.

Has verification linked you to someone else’s details or locked your account? Don’t keep uploading documents blindly. Message us – we’ll help identify the issue and prepare evidence for an appeal.

A 100-YEAR-OLD ORDERED A FLAGSHIP AND PASSED THE VIDEO CALL

🚓 Spanish police took down a gang that found a hole in a major telecom operator's online store. A script told the warehouse to ship before payment went through. The haul: over 150 smartphones worth more than €50,000.

The cover was a farm of borrowed identities: documents of around fifty people, including 100-year-old pensioners. They used them to open bank accounts, register phone numbers and send parcels across the country.

The cherry on top: gang members passed video KYC themselves, posing as the elderly document holders. The "customer's" age didn't bother the antifraud.

Operation Sakosita: seven arrested in Madrid, the alleged ringleader caught in Italy on a European arrest warrant.

Meanwhile, the frozen accounts and someone else's debts land on the people whose names were used.

🔒 Account locked because someone opened something in your name? Message us – we'll gather the evidence and see the unlock through.

⛔ 🔥 YOUR ISSUE DATE IS MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE

🎂 On most US DLs the expiry lands on the holder's birthday. Not "around the same time" – exactly on the DOB.

Month-day format, not day-month. 03/07 means March 7, not July 3. Mix up the order and you've birthed a date that never existed.

Every template revision has a fixed revision date. On a 2012 California DL it's identical on all of them. Your own date – flag.

Dates must chain: ISS plus term equals EXP. Break one link and the whole timeline is false. The machine checks arithmetic before it reads the name.

🐎 We verify dates against the state's official documentation before delivery.

✉️ US DL failing on flat ground? Send it – we'll audit the entire timeline.
