Η κατασκευάστρια του iPhone αναμένεται να στείλει αντιπροσωπεία έξι ατόμων με επικεφαλής τον Οικονομικό Διευθυντή Luca Maestri στην διήμερη ακροαματική διαδικασία στο Γενικό Δικαστήριο που εδρεύει στο Λουξεμβούργο και είναι το δεύτερο υψηλότερο στην Ευρώπη. Τον Αύγουστο του 2016, η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή κατέληξε στην απόφαση ότι η Apple απολαμβάνει παράνομη κρατική βοήθεια και διευκολύνσεις χάρη σε δύο φορολογικές αποφάσεις στην Ιρλανδία, το 1991 και το 2007, που μείωσαν τεχνητά τις φορολογικές υποχρεώσεις της Apple για παραπάνω από δύο δεκαετίες.

Μέχρι την απόφαση του 2016, για τρία χρόνια, σχεδόν από το 2013,  η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή και η Αρμόδια Επίτροπος Ανταγωνισμού Margrethe Vestager διερευνούσε τη σχέση της Apple με την Ιρλανδική κυβέρνηση βάζοντας στο μικροσκόπιο τα προνόμια, τις κρατικές βοήθειες και τις φορολογικές διευκολύνσεις που απολάμβανε η Αμερικάνικη εταιρεία για δύο σχεδόν δεκαετίες. Τότε, η  Αρμόδια Επίτροπος Ανταγωνισμού Margrethe Vestager δήλωσε ότι η Apple δεν πλήρωνε παρά ελάχιστα χρήματα σε φόρους (είχε δημιουργήσει μία περίτεχνη εταιρική δομή για να αποφεύγει να πληρώσει τους φόρους που της αναλογούσαν καταγράφοντας για παράδειγμα όλα τα κέρδη της από τις πωλήσεις της στην Ευρώπη σε μία έδρα στην Ιρλανδία που υπήρχε μόνο στα χαρτιά και η οποία δεν είχε υπαλλήλους, ούτε γραφεία) ενώ παράλληλα απολάμβανε τεράστια κέρδη από τις πωλήσεις των προϊόντων της σε Ευρώπη, Μέση Ανατολή, Αφρική και Ινδία. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η Margrethe Vestager δήλωσε ότι η Apple πλήρωνε με φορολογικό συντελεστή 0,005% -περίπου €500 για κάθε εκατομμύριο ευρώ σε κέρδη) την ώρα που ο φορολογικός συντελεστής στην Ιρλανδία είναι 12,5%.

Η Apple αναμένεται να υποστηρίξει ότι δεν παρανόμησε καθώς ακολούθησε την Ιρλανδική και Αμερικανική νομοθεσία. Η εταιρεία πρόκειται να ισχυριστεί, ότι οφείλει σχεδόν το σύνολο των φόρων στις ΗΠΑ καθώς το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της αξίας των προϊόντων της, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του σχεδιασμού, της ανάπτυξης και του engineering δημιουργείται εκεί. Η Ιρλανδία, η οποία κατηγόρησε την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή ότι υπερβαίνει τις εξουσίες της και παρεμβαίνει στην εθνική κυριαρχία των κρατών μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης πάνω σε φορολογικές υποθέσεις, αμφισβητεί επίσης την απόφαση της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής. Το Λουξεμβούργο υποστηρίζει την Ιρλανδία, ενώ η Πολωνία υποστηρίζει την Επιτροπή. Η Αρμόδια Επίτροπος Ανταγωνισμού Margrethe Vestager έχει βάλει επίσης στο στόχαστρο διάφορες συμφωνίες, όπως αυτές μεταξύ της Ολλανδίας και της Starbucks, του Λουξεμβούργο και της Amazon, της Fiat και της Engie, καθώς και ένα Βρετανικό φορολογικό καθεστώς για τις πολυεθνικές εταιρείες.       It's funny how you're judging me for decrypting work. The real problem isn't in decrypting, but in people selling my work without permission, which undermines everything I've done.   You call my methods "ugly," but you don't seem to care about the harm caused by those who misuse my work. It's pretty hypocritical to criticize my actions while ignoring the unethical behavior that forced me to protect my work this way.   If you think decrypting ruins it, maybe you should think about the real issue. people who don't respect the creator's rights. Until you understand that, your judgments don't mean much.   Also, I want to make it clear that I don't decrypt work from respected developers like Corason, NevesOma, Darkdelux, and the Emudevs team because I respect their efforts. However, some people who act like rats deserve it.   And honestly, considering how everyone seems to dislike you on all the forums, it looks like you have a habit of provoking people.
