Look Here, I'm Having A Problem Running A L2Off Server!

povis111

Question

Hello, after lots of time spending on l2j servers, i've decided to try to run and develop(if i'll be capable of) l2off server. Well, to run the server itself was pretty easy, but i don't get how the accounts are created. Firstly, there's no autoreg, as i didn't find any hints on that. Secondly, sql server is not mysql and dbo.user_auth 'password' column has different data type(bytes as i saw in the message)  . Would somenone mind to tell me how accounts are created or link me to a source of information in which i could find what i'm looking for? :gusta:

If you using l2off files its simple accounts can be created by ACP its not same like java servers l2off have not auto create accout system

The C4 packs generally have x_self.sql that creates accounts and adds the server into the dbo.server auth tables.

So it's simple, add it manually.

If super simple SQL tables scares you that much tho - i'd have to say stop what your doing now and go back to l2j.

It's not a matter of trying - it's about writing support for it.

HAuthD doesn't support it natively, neither does C4\C1 AuthD

GF authd supports it natively.

It's a good thing that Smeli's server supports C1-GF clients :D

Except smeli's is c1 - and c1 is a mess.

Smeli probably made it even more unstable + a myriad of weird ass coding left and right with no structure.

Along with decisions that certain features apparently are "TOTALLY UN L2 ALIKE" and therefor not required to be fixed.

(Which is quite alot of em actually).

...but whatever floats your boat.
