"I am OVH / Voxility Reseller" !

 

And basically, if anyone want these types of services, they can just get a dedicated server in these places. Because there isn't anything else you can do other than those two companies can do by their own (I am speaking about mitigation only in this case)...

 

Now if you want to offer 'management services' it is acceptable, however the entirely focus of your offer would need to be changed :) (Just an opinion tho).

The protection offered by OVH and Voxility is far not enough to filter non-legitimate traffic in online games, when each millisecond counts (in fact, it is used only on preliminary protection level, as you can see on the scheme).

 

Our personalized filtering system along with advanced monitoring enabled us to quickly and efficiently mitigate all attacks at our clients, basically without any interruption in the game.

The answer is pretty, however I am sorry to say you are not able to provide 'custom filtering system' in OVH. Because you cannot simple use the needed equipments in their 'budget network' IE: Where you are hosting your website :)

 

Sure you can do some iptables rules... but really this is all you are up to, because who does have the control on it all, is OVH or Voxility always (They do have the mitigation system hardware in their hands, you just have the dedicated server).

We do not deny that that OVH has its own primary filtration system that decreases the load significantly (as it is mentioned on our scheme). But those of you who ran Lineage servers in OVH might know that 'Forced' mitigation mode often causes problems in game (some users can't log in, others log in from the 2nd time and so on). Moreover, the server may be unavailable for some time before the mitigation is enabled. This is critical on the start, especially with high online. StormWall protection helps to avoid those unpleasant effects in 95% cases.

 

Also, OVH and Voxility do not protect you from:

- 'Legitimate SYN' flood

- Full TCP connect flood

- TCP reflection flood

- HTTP-flood

 

But these types of attacks are being successfully filtered by us using all resource and experience available. We do all the protection for you and guarantee stable work of your servers, while you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Well, however you understand that even 'high end servers' are not adequate to perform any type of content filtering right ? Because it may compromise multiple customers if all the filtering are performed in shared non specific hardware... Anyways good luck with your business.  :)
