Unique Arena Matchmaking system is in progress ( very unique feature that no other server has have )

the arena will include :

very similar to WOW Arena , the winners will win points similar to Olympiad and with that points they can exchange for useful items !

Patch notes are listed below for a quick and easy overview of the multitude of changes coming to L2 OvC in patch 2.0.0 called The Arena.

Patch Features:

The Arena:
New feature will be implemented in this patch called the arena.
the arena is a list of very small maps usually closed areas for PVP.
it will include the features of 2v2 3v3and 5v5.
each of the following feature have its own ranking and points distribution.
winning an arena match is very similar to the Olympiad system. the points wins depends on the team's ranking.

Points Reward
with the team points you can buy a useful items on a unique Arena NPC.

to start an arena match you will need atleast 8 registered teams. the teams will be selected randomely to fight each other no matter of faction.

Arena Cycle will be 2 weeks , at the end of those 2 weeks the 1st , 2nd and 3rd Teams that is in the ladder will win a very unique prize !

Note : to avoid any kind of farming , there will be penelty on team creation, the system will avoid to choose both teams who fought before in short time.
this feature will be beta and there will be more changes to be made . also estimated time can be change until the feature is ready.


The Castle Boss:
to make castle more attractive for clans to capture we have decided to add a unique feature into it. 
beside earning adena on taxes we have decided to add a unique event for the ruling clan every sunday. the event will include 2 phases which exeminate the clan's teamwork.
1st phase : crystals will appear inside the castles like in the siege and mobs will start spawning randomely arround the castle , their goal is to the destroy the crystals , the clan need to defend those crystals from being destroyed. this phase will take about 5 minutes
2nd phase : after successfuly defending the crystals a boss will spawn inside the castle it will be very strong boss with minions , the clan's goal is to eliminate this RB! the prizes from this RB will be adena and more useful items.

The maximum enchant available using the normal enchanting method is +10, to enchant items above +10 (until +16), a unique system will need to be used.

First of all, each enchantment made above +10 requires a new item called "Golem's Stoneheart", which can be obtained by killing the Gigantic Chaos Golem which lies inside Aden Castle.

After a player got the stone, he can try to enchant an item above +10 by visiting the Chaos Merchant NPC in his town, to start enchanting you will need:
* The Golem's Stoneheart
* The item you would like to enchant
* As many enchant scrolls (normal or blessed) as you can get (up to 6).
* 50 Adena for every scroll you put.

Chance start at 40% and climbs up by 5% for every scroll you add, if you put all normal scrolls, the item will break if fails, if you put all blessed scrolls, the item will go back to +0, if you put half and half, there is 50% break chance, the maximum chance that can be reached is 70%.

After everything is set, you can try your luck by clicking the enchant bonus, good luck to all!

Note: B-grade items can still be enchanted up to +16 using the normal method.

THE ACHIEVMENTS ENGINE.

 

The achievements engine allow players to complete certain quests (daily or pernament) ingame to get extra rewards, the achievements divide into 2 categories:

Daily Achievements
Daily achievements are usually small tasks which players can complete on a daily basis to make an extra reward when playing the game, daily events reset every day at 3:00 AM.

Pernament Achievements
Pernament achievements are usually big tasks, which takes time to complete, but their reward is greater than daily tasks and they can completed only once per character.

When players complete all daily or all pernament achievements they gain even a greater bonus.
