Hopzone pings to the server

Question

Posted

Hi,

I'm developing a server that now is in closed beta, the problem is that the server have DDOS protection so anything cant ping the server machine for security reasons. For that fact, hopzone cant put my server on list because cant ping my server.

Exists any way to solve this? If I ping from my pc to the server with ip+port pings perfectly, but only ip dont work, only want to hopzone.

Thx 4 all.

So when you put the IP of server its offline @ all time?

Thats why hopzone doesn't want to approve it?

Also, are you using real mashine IP on hopzone or the one that filter it?

Yes, when I try from console to ping my server, says "Connect : Network is Unreachable". With PaPing, making a ping to the ip + 7777 or ip + 2106 make the ping perfectly.

And yes, thats the reason that hopzone doesn't approve it, they need to see if the server is online or not.

All time we're using the real machine ip, the same ip thats included on system client files.

Coz it's my first time with an ddos firewall, need any special configuration for the server? Change any special on server files or in debian (iptables[ports 9104, 2206, 7777 in input are accepted] etc etc)?

sometimes hopzone getting High Traffic with the result to increase the pings to all the servers... and also it's not only your server but the rest of them are getting offline due to traffic or server's running delays.....

Yes, but for hopzone my server is all time offline and for two weeks is on for test purposes. I spoke with Kedar, admin of hopzone and says that can't make nothing until they see the server online.

I opened ports 7777,2106, 9104 only in  input on iptables. The config files revised lots of times. Using the public ip from the machine. I don't know what more I can do it to solve this. Don't know if the problem is from the DDOS firewall behind the server.

Maybe you could give to him the patch to test it out about availability of the server. Sometimes Kadar don't believe someone without proofs about their servers... That's because i told you if you could give to him the patch to check it by himself.
