What is best, upload the whole l2j database on the websites db or get a vps and connect the website with the vps db?

A seperate server in whatever regard would work better than it being on your website server.

I'm assuming you're also talking about a live server, why would you want to have them on the same server anyway other than the obvious ease of use? (Ease of use <> best option)
