Something is crashing my client and it can't start...did whoever uploaded the patch use shaders or something in their video options? My video card doesn't support them...

Perhaps try deleting your option.ini and trying to launch

Doesn't work. Without option.ini my screen flickers to fullscreen and back several times, then the client crashes.

Can someone please upload a system folder with standard video settings?

Well the option.ini once deleted it's made again when you reopen l2 and uses options that are good for your pc.And when you say client crashes what exactly do you mean?Do you get any error or something?

It doesn't get made again, since the game crashes before it gets the chance to start properly!

Yes, I get an error message. Gawd, I really was hoping someone would just get over their laziness and upload a damn system folder, so I wouldn't have to go through another needless error...

I get the same message with and without option.ini. Here it is:

Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY). Please delete your Option.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game.

History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <- CreateDevice <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes <- UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

I can run the game on any other server without problems, it's just that my gpu doesn't support pixel shader 3...so any settings using that makes it go <crash>.

If it's not that, then something else is broken in this particular server patch.

We have a thread in our forum about this issue. http://l2defined.com/forum/index.php?topic=109.0

in your system folder after updating there's an l2.ini and l2-lowmem.ini - change l2.ini to something else or delete it and change l2-lowmem.ini to l2.ini

should fix your problem

You're not even trolling. You're just being retarded. Part of beta testing was a big Freya raid. I was there. It works.

Your 11 posts are really selling your knowledge of the difference between l2 off and java as well as your understanding of what an extender is. Lol kid trying to make me mad in my own advertising thread - the only one who is anything at this point is you: annoying.

    • Here we go again to teach!  The source code he mentions (backdoor) is from the leaked Travor files. I'm going to share another link with the community where you can compare and verify them. Source Travor files: https://www.mediafire.com/file/rma1p98juce3ust/travor-source.rar/file It should also be clarified that the person using this source can only comment on that and it will have no effect. Regards!
