[Q] PS3 HDMI

I got a tv(panasonic) and it's about 5-6 years old.

And 1 year ago i bought ps3.

I want to set up HDMI but my tv hasnt got any HDMI only scart!

But i want ps3 with HDMI connection cause games look awsome!

How can i?(i got HDMI cable for ps3)

If i get an mpeg4 decoder, can i connect HDMI to decoder and then to TV?

Even if the MPEG4 has HDMI slot , the HDMI cable won't be able to connect to TV since the TV doesn't have HDMI slot/doesn't support HDMI , so..

So, there is no way? Only way is to buy new TV?
