[Guide] How you can change you weapon's Glow

Recommended Posts

Please, when you finish reading this guide read the notes at the bottom.

Editing the glow of the weapons is quite easy, just follow this steps:

1. Grab your env.int file on your client's system folder.

2. Decrypt it ( striping its header ) with l2encdec ( -s ).

3. Open the file with your favorite text-editor.

4. Scroll down untill you see [EnchantEffect]

Ok, now, here comes the part to explain, you will see exactly 21 enchant lines, what are those?, those are the different levels the weapon will glow like, in other words the Enchant5 is how it will glow at +5 Enchant7 is how it will glow at +7 and so goes on.

Now, the part we want to know is this: ( I wrote X because it wont matter wich one you take )

EnchantX=(R1=0,G1=0,B1=0,R2=0,G2=0,B2=0,Opacity=0, Num=0)

I wont take too much time to explain this as i guess many of you just by seeing it can know how it works, well, this is just a RGB line ( Red, Green, Blue ), to have lets say....a green weapon?, just set the G to....150? and leave the other ones on 0, or well, use your imagination, you can do wich color you want ( i think ), opacity is just the transparency of the glow, leave that to "1", also, i am not totally sure what num does, ill check out in a bit.

Ok, now you edited the color as you wanted, lets finish this up.

5. Save your changes.

6. Encrypt the file with a 111 header ( - 111 ).

7. Replace this file with the on on your system folder.

8. Enjoy!

Well, thats all, i will add a few notes tough.

a. I didnt find out this, digital posted it on the chineese section, here is the link: http://www.postpacific.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1124

b. I wrote this to explain it a little easier than what you would get trough google translator ( wich if you re-read it a couple of times will be enough to understand it )

c. I'm sure this question will pop up, so ill answer at once IF YOUR L2 SERVER WONT HANDLE THE ENCHANT LEVEL DIFFERENCE THEN BY EDITING THIS THE GLOW WONT HAVE A DIFFERENCE ON DIFFERENT LEVELS, but if you edit all the levels with the same one you will see the color of the glow you made ( Yes, the red/blue glow l2server wont handle it ).

d. And no, i havent fixed the glow issure, i wrote point c beacuse im almost sure someone will post that it wont work, just pure prevention.

Well, i hope this guide can help.

Yours.
