It is remote server that you're trying to connect or it is in your computer?

If it is remote, then you need to configure it to allow acces from outside localhost. If it is in your computer, then I gues you're just using wrong password for mysql.

The problem is that i accidently deleted my user on navicat. Now i cannot connect to any server that i make on my pc.

I need to make a new user on navicat but when i press Manage users nothing happens.

Connect using root access ?

Basically, when you are with root, create an user with all rights, put a password for root and that's all... If you deleted user, you still got root.

You normally can't delete root.

If you deleted user and have no access to root, try to search where rights accesses are stored... Reinstalling won't help, format will but ti's perhaps "too much" and not needed...

You can only manage users when you're connected to that server. If you deleted the user that you are trying to use, then thats what happens. If you are using other then root user, then try root with whatever password you ussed. Default password is blank (no password) If that doesnt help, just uninstal mysql, delete all remaining mysql files and reinstall it again. This should create new root user.

Did you reinstal mysql ? If not - go and doit. Unistal it, delete mysql folder, restart pc and make an new clean install. During install it will ask you to create root acc.

How do you install mysql? If you're using windows, then download wamp. It has apache+php+mysql intergrated. That should create a new root user with no password. Try that, if it doesnt help, you're doing something wrong.
