  1. Here's everything you need to know: http://goo.gl/qKjBaX
  2. Yep, something around 6 years I think. L2 always had a special place in my heart, although I stopped playing it so long ago. That's not manual_pch (or I misunderstood you), but anyway haha... I'm a science person, I believe in what I see and can prove. If there's no server files for me to mess with, I will consider it to be just a rumor, even though it looks very real :) Yeah I know, I saw his post... But I want to do the same fixes myself. I don't want to know how he fixed them, but I would like to know what bugs/exploits are those and how to reproduce them. Without knowing that, I can't really fix any of those. I know this is a pretty pointless task since he has shared it, but I like coding and I don't mind re-doing these fixes Good for you man. If you shared that kind of information 5 minutes after release, it might have been useful for something. But I guess nowadays that is nothing new anymore. That's pretty much why I created the topic. But based on the opinions I got so far, it seems to be a waste of time to create a new extender, even if it's for not-so-new clients like HF. I'm still going to wait for more opinions before deciding anything, though.
  3. Yep, I got that. I just super-simplified the issue. Hmmm, that's interesting. I'd like to know more about that, hopefully McBigmac can provide some info. I do believe there might have been more leaks. If a first leak happened, there will be further leaks; and in this case, it wasn't just one. But then, I could state that the "Eviscerator" is actually "strato_cancer" and nobody would be able to deny that. Unless we see real server files, anything is just a rumor. :)
  4. You have a good point, the skilldata/npcdata would never be exactly as retail. But still, it would still run a lot better than an l2j and could handle way more connections efficiently, considering the hypothetical extender would be well-developed and would not ruin the default performance, of course. About everyone leaving GF servers, I have no idea. Like I mentioned, I'm totally lost when it comes to L2 community. Last chronicle I actually played was Interlude, although did I play (very little) on Hellbound or something around that. Just out of curiosity: when you say there are newer serverpacks around, you mean retail ones? As in another pack leaked from NCSoft/Innova? I actually mentioned Infinite Odyssey because it's the latest (or at least that's what the NCSoft launcher downloaded for me), so I thought it would be more interesting to support that. But yeah, that would require a shitload of changes to be coded, and honestly I can't dedicate enough time for that as I have a real job and stuff. Anyway, HF could be the target version then, as apparently that's a pretty popular version of the game. With this in mind, is the work involved worth it? Is there enough players actually playing the game nowadays? I'm not really looking for profit, but I won't waste time on something that's not gonna be used by anyone.
  5. Hello people, I've recently got myself a Windows PC after using OSX for ~4 years due to work-related reasons. You probably don't know me, but I used to share some of my l2off work on the old PostPacific forums, so I'm not really new to this. But as you may figure out, I've been away from the L2 scene this whole time, so I'm considerably lost about everything related to L2. I saw some stuff about the GF files leakage, which I already downloaded and seems to be running fine, as far as I can tell. But I also know it has some bugs/exploits, as usual, and I'd like to know more about them to be able to fix those. Even if it's just for fun, I don't care. Anyway, I've started my own (personal) extender project based on that GF files. I hooked them up to the executables and I'm getting the hang of the whole thing, already did some hooks and small fixes/improvements, and I am currently working on supporting properly the newer race, Ertheia. So.... TL;DR: Do you guys think it's worth it to create a extender to enable the server to be used with a newer client (i.e. Infinite Odyssey)? Or is the L2 gaming community for private servers pretty much dead? If there is enough interest, we can talk about sharing information. I don't mind setting up a wiki for sharing offsets, structures, and so on... Or maybe even start an open source project, who knows. Everything will depend on how much the developers community is interested on the whole idea. Cheers.
  6. Sorry to bump such an old topic, but can someone re-share this list please? I have lost my old L2 files, and this function list would help me a lot. Thanks!
  7. Have anyone tried to change the static bf key on the client? I remember Fyyre had a tutorial for doing it on L2 clients on PostPacific... i will try to do it myself next month (when i will have enough free time, as i'm going to be on vaction). on L2 it wasn't hard to do it, hopefully it won't be much harder on Aion :P Btw, i'm not asking like "OMGOMGPLZ GIMME TUTORIAL" or "PLZ DO IT FOR ME", i was just wondering if i'll really be the first one doing it :)
  8. dunno lol maybe he didn't check the links :P
  9. is this mine? i don't have posts enough to see it :P =) edit: oh, it is mine... and it's the last version i made, as far as i remember :P that's old but should be working nowadays ;) i'm downloading it right now to see it... too bad i lost the source codes, if i had i'd share them here (the code was horrible, but worked lol) edit2: yep, doesn't seem to work on windows 7, probably because of themida :P but might work on xp/server2k3
  10. cool, that's not hard to make by ourselves, but saves time ;) (i cant see the files, but i have done them already so...)
  11. i need more posts =[ but thanks for sharing it anyway, seems to work since nobody is complaining :P
  12. dude i tried to register myself on your spanish forum but i failed. pm'ing you right now to try to help you on the project ;)
  13. i agree... but who said that the bake ice programmer doesn't read this forums as well? about the assemblies, idk i just don't like very much when you work hard on stuff and then ppl simply get it by doing a drag'n'drop :-)
  14. @ZoOoOoM: yeah but you never know... anyways... as i've said before, i've working my own app for this bypass. and it is a kinda usable already, but it's far from finished. it includes L2Fork and C5toINT in one app, and also has some settings so you can launch BakeIce, clean client, L2W or L2.NET from one menu... it also writes the HOSTS file by itself when launching L2Walker, or when you click on 'Write hosts' (duh). the autoscroll option cannot be disabled, even tho there is an option for that on the menu :P so basically, what you'll need to have if you use this app, is the BakeIce client (as usual), another client (bot or not), and Proxifier (and possibly l2asrv). the coolest about it (and what i've been working on since last night) is that it can be used as a hlapex/l2phx :) but as i said, it is far from finished so i know some bugs about it, and will work on them some time, now i'm gonna log in my bots lol as far as i know, you can only send one packet using the packet handler, then you'll be disconnected. or maybe it works just fine, and the server (its not DN) i'm playing on is protected enough to do that, idk... also, if you log in and log out too many times, it will eventually crash. but i usually log in 6~7 OGG L2Walker (10.7.4) at the same time on my computer, and it works just fine here's the download link (btw i named it L2Botter hehe): http://rapidshare.com/files/139624919/L2Botter.rar.html you WILL need .NET framework (tested on 3.5, not tested on any other). i packed it with themida to avoid reverse engineering, so depending on your anti-virus it might accuse something, but it's nothing. if you don't trust/believe me, dont use it. i dont care. p.s.: some small stuff i've added real quick before posting this, like the l2asrv ip setting, which was using hard-coded 127.0.0.0. so if setting is missing, let me know and i'll update it p.s.2: i have no idea how to protect this post with post count, so if mods think that's a good idea, please do so. EDIT: forgot to mention... i'm using it to log OOG walkers on a Interlude server...
  15. you should have hidden the first post when you posted it in my opinion (i wouldn't be able to read it but anyways)... it's not much, but it also helps to make it harder to the admins to find out about it... you guys know that it's not only cheater ppl that search this forums, but also GMs/Admins/Devs/whatever ;) btw, great job guys. it worked 100% for me. p.s: you should protect your .NET assemblies, i 'reverse-engineered' it and am trying to improve it, and adding new stuff to it... as soon as i get some new stuff working properly, i'll post it here :)
