Well I'm not really a tech genius myself, but what said there makes sense, and I hope it does the job. I hope the server launches sooner, so many people are looking for long-term low rate atm ;)

No problem, just PLEASE don't make the mistake most of these other servers do, and launch without protection. and I will be there for sure. (Try to convince my clan also)

Server has been down about 1 week due to DDOS, and their data center is giving them problems, a lot of the factor clans are already leaving. There is no ETA on when the server will be back up..

A kid opening a "fail" server has nothing to do with it at all, in fact those kind of servers are probably the LAST servers that would be DDOS'd, wtf is the point of attacking it if its failing on its own? On the other hand, like Hydra, it was a LARGE community, and was too successful for a DDOS'er to bypass. Those are the kind of servers that are mainly targeted, large scale, high populated, successful servers. So saying Hydra failed, makes you fail. Sure, it unfortunate that the staff couldn't have the server well protected, but they would be looking at thousands of dollars most likely for something worth using, not no fucking cisco), especially for the large scale attacks they are getting now (started with a 'small' UDP attack, then increased, so someone is not -beep-ing around) and face it Hydra's donation list is fairly cheap, even with 2k players, most are not going to be donating(maybe over a long time-line, but not all at once).

Eh well I guess I will be there, despite Sawk's servers usually are short term. I'm sure it will be a success regardless. One thing I respect is him refunding my donations on Survival after he closed it, respect. :) Also its true about IL, tons of people are starting to get bored with it/the playstyle, including me and Hellbound is a great chronicle. I was going to play ONE more IL server(won't name it, but 2k+ on launch:P) but there is someone DDOSing the shit out of it, and he/she seems really dedicated to killing it off, and most likely will. There are people that DDOS, for something like "ransom", actually a lot of people here do that ( I won't say names) but they know who they are. Faggets need to get a life.
