  3. i use this all the time rather then the search as im doing certificate 4 in information technology ... i thought it might help
  4. Turn On Login Screen! Most of you should know that in vista and in windows 7 you don't need to type in your username because all users are displayed but what if you dont want anyone to know who the users are?? so to do this ween need to make it so you type in the username and also the password(if you have a password) 1, Go to "Control Panel" 2, Go to "System and Security" 3, Go to "Administrative Tools" 4, Go to "Local Security Policy" 5, Go to "Local Policies" 6, Go to "Security Options" 7, You will see a screen that has a list scroll down till you see: "Interactive login: Do not display last user name" 8,RIGHT CLICK on it and go to "Properties" 9, Click on "ENABLE" Hope this helps! Thanks, ScriptKing! :)
  5. ok this is a simple tick, this will give you all the windows 7/vista settings one folder, never need to use the control panel again! 1, make a new folder on the desktop 2, rename it to: Full Settings.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} the folder will change the icon to be the same as the control panel icon... Open the file and you will see all the settings! Here is a list i have that are the same as above but only settings for each section, useful if you only use one section. My Computer.{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} Location Settings.{00C6D95F-329C-409a-81D7-C46C66EA7F33} Biometric Settings.{0142e4d0-fb7a-11dc-ba4a-000ffe7ab428} Power Settings.{025A5937-A6BE-4686-A844-36FE4BEC8B6D} Icons And Notifications.{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9} Credentials and Logins.{1206F5F1-0569-412C-8FEC-3204630DFB70} Programs and Features.{15eae92e-f17a-4431-9f28-805e482dafd4} Default Programs.{17cd9488-1228-4b2f-88ce-4298e93e0966} All NET Frameworks and COM Libraries.{1D2680C9-0E2A-469d-B787-065558BC7D43} All Networks For Current Connection.{1FA9085F-25A2-489B-85D4-86326EEDCD87} Network.{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} Printers.{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D} Application Connections.{241D7C96-F8BF-4F85-B01F-E2B043341A4B} Firewall and Security.{4026492F-2F69-46B8-B9BF-5654FC07E423} Performance.{78F3955E-3B90-4184-BD14-5397C15F1EFC} Hope you like my post! :) Thanks, Scriptking!
  6. ok im not sure if this is already post but i have searched for it on the site... Here goes.. 1, click the start button 2, in the search box type cmd 3, right hand click on it and click "Run as Administrator 4, in the cmd box type the following: net user Administrator active:yes to turn it off you type: net user Administrator active:no i have noticed in some case's in windows 7 it makes a new user called Administrator, but in other case's it just makes the user the Administrator depents on the version of windows 7 i think.. but it does also work in vista.. Doing this will stop you from getting the prompt box's to confirm all the time. Hope this helps :D Thanks, ScriptKing :)
