Honestly Ave has probably the best updater out there, the download speed is amazing since it has bz2 compression support, his designs are great, etc. I don't understand why he insists on taking so long to deliver every single time. His procrastination is bringing him down.

not for long a new one is coming out soon 🙂 as my new project is almost finished 1 click builder, dynamic configurations and more ave knows he saw it 🥸

Dont be unfair, he spend time and he almost made it... he should thank for some money that got back

that would be if the client would backout from his order as i said in my previous post, that is not the case, he miss the deadline and well he acted like he is always do.

I'm taking shit and comments like "he NEVER delivers, ban him!", from all-time haterZ of mine.

who said "he NEVER delivers, ban him!"

  2. just a few things

normally the 50/50 means first 50 is collateral in case you decide to go back in your agreement, for "closing" the job, using his time etc... (meaning non-refundable)

the fact that you had to pay for this extra work any amount of money is a joke..

the poor communication from ave side is known nothing new here i guess you knew that already, and no i dont mean his classic behaviour, a professional discusses the timeframes.

there are many (even free) alternatives for updaters and is cheaper to hire somebody to slap your logo in a background..

    :kim:

Note: the video and the discussion made my day both dont know how client works while working on it

(:pepe-yeaa:for metaman i get it he pays for the service he dont know how it works)

but ave was funny as fuck :keepo: "i am not client dev either"  :pepe-hmmm:

  3. I mean 125euro to get ban is not even worth the time he spent chatting... he even asked 50% why he stopped talking this is strange he should refund in full but wasted the clients time this is very unresponsible.

If your source is java-based, then it is quite easy. Each source comes with a ReceivablePacket.java whose read() function is being overwritten by its sub-classes, one of which is something related to Game Client. This class, let's call it GameClientPacket.java, also has sub-classes, the actual client->server packets, which extend its secondary read method.

From here, you have 2 options.

1 - Enable the Net Stats(Chat) feature in the client to see the name of the incoming packet.
2 - Rely on the source's exception-handler, which will show the ID of the packet, if it is unknown, or the IDE's (IntelliJ/Eclipse) debug feature to figure out which packet is being sent.

Then, you also have multiple options, with the easiest one being to search for the packet structure in the client itself, or brute-force the incoming data from the server-side by utilising the aforementioned IDE debug feature with breakpoints.

Thank you i will give it a try it is java and intellij my goal is knowledge and fun, thanks for beign so helpful
