  1. In Classic it's all about ''AOE'' parties though. But still keep in mind the rates are quite low, besides we're talking about ''Hour'' scrolls. should consider testing it out atleast, if it ends up too high in test phases, u can always lower it to max 25-30% or even below that. But I would definitely add hour scrolls to the donate store. (because of various reasons) But ofcourse, that is just my opinion, like you have yours.
  2. I'm quite sure, some little boosts won't ruin lineage 2 classic. I would just make sure not to overdo it. I'm talking about hour scrolls (1 or 2 Hours max) with 30% boosts > EXP maybe up to max 50%. This will definitely not harm the server, and they might get some additional ''healthy donates'' for maintaing the server. Won't make a big difference.
  3. Dear readers. Like the titles says, i'm looking for people that wants to start a new lineage 2 project. To be certain we're on the page, i'll be listing some points below I disslike. & Some points i'd like to show off as possible ''features'' (Dynamic leveling system) It would be nice to add some kind of Dynamic experiencing system to lineage 2. I'd like to keep leveling a part of lineage 2, that being said, that doesnt mean a 1x sever. With a Dynamic system it will look like this >>for example:<< At level 1 - You will earn x0.1 EXP. At level 2 - You will earn x0.2 EXP. At level 3 - You will earn x0.3 EXP. At level 4 - You will earn x0.4 EXP. At level 5 - You will earn x0.6 EXP. At level 6 - You will earn x0.6 EXP. At level 7 - You will earn x0.7 EXP. At level 8 - You will earn x0.8 EXP. At level 9 - You will earn x0.9 EXP. At level 10 - You will earn x1 EXP. This way, you'll level keep progressing decent at low and higher levels. (Grade towns) I highly like the Idea of grade towns, to use more lineage 2 towns, then just the common towns like ''Giran''/ ''Goddard''. Fill the divided towns, with their grade items, for example Dion is (D-grade), (so only D-grade items can be purchased there) Might not play a major factor, but its also something which divides the server from other servers in a good way near my opinion. (Assisting people during their journey, with a leveling guide, can provide them the additional information they should know about the server and it's features) Directing their ways through the Grade towns. (GM Shops) The fact, I disslike GM shops, and being a fan of Grade shops (Divided in towns) is because it is a shame that such a big world with quite a few huge towns are not being used, both on the retail and private servers. {There is no big deal running to a grocery shop to buy your potions for example} (Balanced classes) Both retail and private servers are failing here, ofcourse it is hard to balance everything perfectly, might be even impossible. but the fact is, that most likely, the most private servers are not using their own customized balancing system, or they are balancing horrible, or dont even consider actually balancing classes for real. but in fact this is one of my highest priority. {We also need to find a right way, to balance Resists.} (Craft system) Might be quite boring in it's current state, might consider changing recipes. (NPC Buffer) Straight to the point, I disslike full NPC buffers, but it is still considerable adding, due several reasons. {Your thoughts?} (Veteran system) Want to make these really challenging, but also rewarding. the most used champion system just feels like they increased their defences/hp, but still easy killable. I want to change this in a different and more challenging way. (Editing/Creating Quest) Was thinking quite a while about this idea, and it is definitely possible, creating or editing quests. for example by editing quest we might be able to make some quests more fun to do and less boring. Daily quests for example might be a quite good feature to add, but what kind of daily quests should fit lineage 2? (Including Clan quest) (maybe add party quests) (Class quests optional) (Dimensional instances) Such as Kamaloka, the idea was quite fun, but as a veteran player like me, it's sure kamaloka in it's current state, is not quite good. We should change some kamaloka levels, drops, aggro's, experience etc. maybe add a special twist, (special daily items?) (Certifications skills) These should definitely be removed, or edited. skills like barrier, should be removed anyways though. (Monster drops) Barely used/useless items, should be removed or the droprate should be lowered significant. (Hunting Grounds) We should definitely improve hunting grounds, to have more variety in where to farm, hunt. Let them explore a little more lineage 2 again. And wouldn't it be fun, to have more ''party'' hunting ground. (Attributes System) This is clearly a major factor, since the later chronicles of lineage 2, (the feature idea itself is nice). but in its current state, it brings too much unbalance, and highly affecting healty gameplay. The attribute system should be nerfed drastically. (Enchant system) Considering changing the current enchant sytem. possible to approach this from different directions. (Items) Might consider modifying items, such as armors, to bring a little more balance and variations into the game. I like the newer cloaks for example from Godess of destruction, We might consider adding those? Might Add or Create own items. (Ancient Necroplos, Catacombs) Make these ancient tombs usefull, but keep in mind the we do not have enough tombs to maintain lots of people at the same time there. (Auctions System) Make use of the implemented auction house, and/or create a marketplace zone, where people can on/offline setup their stores. (Community board) I'd like to see an extended version, but not an all in one, thats my opinion. (Subclass & noblesse quest) Don't want them to be obtainable for free, would like to do something with it. but the standard quests are no go for sure. So find the balance between both functional and fun. (Client modifications) Like you have seen, some ideas, are client modifications which is forbidden ofcourse. but I'd like to implement some client modifications. I highly doubt, you can run a good server without any form of client modifications. Well if you're curious/not curious after reading the above, feel free to respond. Keep in mind the above list is still a tiny list, but it might give you some insight about my vision. If you'd like to work on the project, I think the below stuff is really a must, to co-operate, keep in mind we are all equals: Organisation ⦁ Mutual Visions - We need to understand each other, while working on this project, this will play a huge part, lets better communicate together and share our Visions and Thoughts. ⦁ Mission -Our mission is to create the biggest private server there is. -People seeing playing our server does make us feel great. ⦁ Expectations -My Expectations, hmm, i’d like everyone to invest time in it, this is meant for us ‘the server makes/designer/writer. -Our expectations are also to make the server really big, same like the mission I was talking about. -Expectations to get reasonable donates, to maintain the server, with a good and fair donate system, definitely not a ''PAYTOWIN'' system. -Keep maintaining the server at his best, keep thinking for better things, keep doing events, keep the server healthy, no scammers etc. -providing the best server there is, maintainings and holding status. . ⦁ Advertising -Keep advertising, this is so important it might cost us some money, but it’s all worth it, good advertising lures many players, something we really want ofcourse. ⦁ The Gamers -Listen to othe gamers, don’t be stubborn. If they got any ideas take it with you and think about it, when people are requesting something ‘think about’ it, depends on the request ofc. -We should handle all players as equals, and approach them on a Proffesional way. -Keep you eyes open for scammers, or people that are abusing, or being busy with illegal stuff, related to our server. ⦁ Population Keep watching our population, and keep an eye on that, when people leave there is something wrong, and we want to keep all players ofcourse. ⦁ Promotions -Try to promote the server as much as you can, make events for players to let them promote for us too. Players can also lure a lot of other players from other servers, or lure friends. Website ⦁ Maintanenance -Keep the site maintanance up. -Improve it where u can. ⦁ Forum -Keep an eye on our forum, requests of people, suggest, overall talk about the server, we can kind off read out from that, how much the people like our server and what things they wanted to see changed.. ⦁ Player Support -Maybe nice to also add a player support ingame which pops up, when one of the gm’s are logging on. -Player support on the forum, keep an eye on that, we don’t want people to leave our server due the lack of attention when for example a bug occurs.
