Sniffer* Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 vote and why you choose? i vote for java
Rain^ Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Generally, Java is more robust, via: – Object handles initialized to null (a keyword) – Handles are always checked and exceptions are thrown for failures – All array accesses are checked for bounds violations – Automatic garbage collection prevents memory leaks – Clean, relatively fool-proof exception handling – Simple language support for multi-threading – Bytecode verification of network applets My vote goes to java
Corbett Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 You can't compare any programming language, just by the name of it. It's like asking "What's better; Football or Baseball".

Corbett Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 who's compire it with name? lol I suppose I did not make myself clear. If you are willing to compare two programming languages, you can't just come and mention their names. Both languages have their cons and their pros. So, a more exact comparison would be "Is JAVA or C++ better on Lineage II coding?" or something like that.

Corbett Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 i mean with all I know what you mean and there it is, right above, my point explaining why comparisons like this shouldn't (can't) be made.

Theonegandalf Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 There is no best programming language. Therefore you can't compare two languages. Each one has it's pros & cons. Anyway, for example, you can compare : "Which is faster? C++ or java?". Yeah you can do that. But you can't say C++ is better than java or the opposite. VB failed on vista i heard all thing on vista made in vb ( i am not sure) lol'd at this.
