AMD saying buh bye to ATI brand with next-gen graphics cards

AMD managed to survive the merger with ATI but ATI, at least the name ATI won't, as the Sunnyvale company has decided to not use the ATI brand for its future products. Everything already released will still bear the ATI brand but, looking forward, you'll 'only' be seeing/hearing AMD.

 

According to AMD, the consolidation of all its products under one brand is possible thanks to greater awareness enabled by the good performance of its graphics business. More people are buying AMD's graphics cards and apparently most are more familiar with the AMD brand.

 

The new logos for Radeon and FirePro products are available below so you can get to know them better before they invade the market later this year.

im so sad because of it :( AMD should leave ATi ... most ppl i know, know that brand very well mostly ppl didnt notice that amd took ati into their corp.
