As some of you have noticed, the development of CT2.4 Crossfire has started;

 

New server will be hardly recognisable compared to the old one; I'm being more attentive to details, a hard work on class balance is already started. Generally, don't expect the server to be launched, until me and any possible testers believe it's ready to. By this, I mean that we 'll be future-full, bugless (at the extent it's possible, minor bugs may appear ofcourse later) and class balanced. After launch, you won't see any serious changes, since launch is synonym to "as-close-to-perfect-as-possible" to me at the moment. However, I grant you my word that I 'll be daily next to you, fixing anything instantly, assisting and doing any other task I 'll be needed to do.

 

The general concept will be the same; a server far away from the usual one, even far away than retail, intriguing, with special features, all annoying shits of l2 murdered (xD), mixing a PvP with a PvE style (yea, what Aion devs call PvPvE)

 

To conclude, I'm happy to inform you that one of the most anticipated and hard to code features of the new server (at least by me, as about the "anticipated" part), the seven signs CvC system is done, and running perfectly. This will give a new "aura" to the server, since we may be called the only "faction and not-faction" server at the same time. No matter any possible protests, I'm positive that all of you will enjoy it as much as I did during the developing/testing phase of it once you try it out!

 

You may be informed about it, and any feature adds/changes on the new change log topic.

 

If you are interested, you may ask me to try out the test server (not promising instant access, since its running at my laptop).

As always all ideas and suggestions are welcome; nothing is impossible, and if its cool why not to add it?

 

Opening ETA is not set yet, since there are many factors involved atm, such as funds:P

However, I'm positive that development will be over until the end of August.

Once done and once funds are OK, I'll launch a small advertising campaign, and server will be on a week later, tagged as "BETA". We 'll keep this tag until I'm assured that everything is perfect; that doesn't mean wipes or item loss, just an other stage before tagged as completely ready. Imo, since a server is an ever evolving factor, is in a permanent state of Beta, but...anyway. That's from me at the moment.

Class balance was the thing that got first handled. I am generally assured it's good, but still, without any real PvP you can never be 100% positive.

 

However, for the first two weeks of the live server, I 'll keep my eyes wide open and spend numerous hours to handle everything the same day it appears. (minor bugs or small class inbalance can always stay hidden till server gets live.) There will be a daily 10 min restart late at night or early morning to update the core/datapack/balance or w/e needed which will be fixed long before the restart to maximize online time of server. Something you can't deny it wasnt happening on ct2.3 crossfire, we 've often stayed online for weeks without restart and lags. Not to mention that the box itself only restarted 5 times in the 6 months period server was online.

ok i will give you a chance when it will be opened.i hope that the enchant system isn't difficult... :D....btw i saw max =16 (theory) can you explain it? i don't like theorys .i want standard things :D

There is a scroll called "Golden Scroll" only usable on +16 custom items. It has a 40% chance to give you an extra +1. So somehow max enchant can become +17. However, if it fails ur item looses one enchantment level (goes to +15). +17 equips award the wielder with some extra stats; weapons get effects such as crt stun, magic silence etc, full armor sets of +17 give an extra set bonus, something like +6 retail sets. +17 jewellery give pvp bonuses; pvp defence, attack etc, depending on the jewel.

I played this wonderfull server before...it was awesome!PvP all the time and all classes were quite balanced..i will join the new one for sure!

Are u talking about the same server? el oh el. 90% tanks and 9% archers. Quite balanced huh? ye sure. I still remember the poor guys that had donated and wished they never had. Anyway if this server wants to do a lil something it needs to change a lot. Otherwise it would not have closed would it? ;)

    • up  corrected some retail crashes and hooked some new memory adresses that were missing  fix some missing retail behaviors on some recipes , you can also get the server as c4 with fixed scripts fully retail  what has been done to the c4  ( client is already configured) totally fixed npcposes  totally fixed raidbosses and minions bugged quests are fixed (known) a lot of recipes that were wrong  wrong values in several stats and corrected hero weapons behaviors/atk range
