[Question]Big Servers system folder

why big servers cant connect with the common patched interlude system with l2.ini edited for their ip?

the only way to connect is to download their system from their website

 

what differences they have?

Everything from simple changed ports, to custom blowfish encryption keys, to different encryption algorhythms and so on.

 

In short it depends, everything from small simple measures to complete rewrites of the standard login protocols.

Well they didn't do it for the lulz, did they.

 

 

Most servers with a more comprehensive security system are using sold system.

And therefor are more susceptible to getting screwed.

You'll rarely find a server with a developer who has their own homebrew).

 

I'd say the largest part (atleast l2off), are just the smaller changes and small shared gimmicks here and there.

Thank you for help until now...i have one more question.

 

How is it posible to edit client's algorithms? Where did they find the source code? The client files are in binary(exe,dll etc) mode.

 

They use IDA Pro Database or something similar?
