IG L2W Melee Attacks When In Melee Range (But I'm A Caster)

I've got this problem. It's probably easy to fix, but I really don't know how.

 

If I begin combat near a mob in melee range, I'll start attacking it with my melee weapon, but I'm a caster. I tried fiddling with a bunch of different settings, and no matter what I do...if I'm in melee range, I won't cast spells, I'll just hit them with my sword.

 

For example, if I stand right next to a mob, then press End, it'll start hitting that mob with my sword. If I stand just like one foot away from it and press End, I'll start casting spells and I'll kill it. If the mob comes close to me, I'll start hitting it with my sword (usually I kill it before it reaches me, but when I fight groups of mobs that happens often).

 

How do I fix this?

If you only use one set of skills rather than seperate for long and short range, uncheck Far Setting. Use Short Attacks panel only, and set range to 900 if you're a 2nd class nuker.

how to bot a mage: Have the short range options enabled on default (100 I think) And the use spell furthest down choose your skill, hydro blast or whatever.

 

Now on Long range have it on 900 or whatever and the "Use spell" choose your spell again

I don't understand too much of what do you want.

 

If do you want that only use skills like blaze? if you want this go to far options and push use far settings, atack and run, and use spell and put the spells and diselect "use shorts atacks"

far setting> spell >(spell name)

short setting>spell (aura flare or spell name) (in range 50)

and u will never hit with ur weapon again :)
