L2Gold's IG Walker Protection

Ok, I tried tons of different things to get around the protection. Basically, this is what L2Gold is:

 

A. They made the file l2.exe display the file size error for those trying to use L2W. Not sure if they made it too big or too small.

B. They made it so that you NEED their l2.exe file or you cannot LOG IN. If you try and swap out the l2.exe, the game will start up, but pressing Login will do nothing.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how to either make it so L2Gold THINKS you're using their l2.exe, when you're actually not, or just some way to change the file size of l2.exe, or SOMETHING?

My best idea would be to actually read the existing threads

And PUTTING random words in CAPS clearly makes it look MORE important.

It's only the IP in l2.ini that was wrong but I made a pack because people couldn't figure it out

I really did look around for threads on this, but I just never happened upon yours. I'll be sure to search more thoroughly from now on, sorry.

 

 

When I replace my system folder with yours, though, starting l2asrv.exe gives me this:

Edit: Interesting. I waited like 15 minutes, tried it again...and l2asrv.exe works fine. Everything works perfectly now. No l2.exe file size error, I can log in, I can press home, and it verifies. Thank you soooooo much.

 

 

Edit 2: By the way, one of my other computers has an extremely bizarre and I think somewhat unique problem related to L2W. I'm gonna make an entirely new thread on it. If you or anyone else would be kind enough to try and help me, I'd be extremely grateful. If I really can't fix it, I can live with using L2W on just one computer.

NP but yes, didn't mean to be mean, but so many people jump on the new thread button instead of looking around. Chances are, thing are already out there.

 

As for your ASRV error that's the error that happens when the verification ports aren't available (in other words, you had another verification tool running, like another instance of asrv, WP504f, or needle's patcher.)

Yeah, I had like 10+ windows on my screen, and I forgot to exit l2asrv.exe like an hour ago, so it was still running. It's all good now.

 

And I don't think you mean, I agree with you 100%. I actually used to GM on 2 L2 private servers (L2X and L2R), and with that job came forum moderation. So many people would never use search, and there'd be like 5 threads up on the exact same thing. I think in this case my eyes were sort of looking for just "l2gold" threads, and I skipped over the one about engine.dll scripts and whatnot. =p

 

Anyway, about my other problem on my other computer, I'll make a detailed thread on it some time tomorrow.

sorry to bother you guys, but im TOTALY unable to do anything.

 

i had a working walker for l2gold before they changed something in thier update and now have no idea how to fix it.

and yes i did use search.

 

can someone please tell me what to do and how to fix it.

i downloaded the Engine.dll but dont know what to do with it or where to put it.

Well i dont know if u know, but esl2 has the same protection as l2gold.

I posted an ig walker with small guide which lets u play esl2 with ig walker.

Just use the l2.exe core.dll and the engine.dell and it should work.

I got it to work when i did it like that.

omg u dont need those files lol

look the l2.exe is a programm which connects via internet explorer to a machine which saves the ip

u can decrypt l2.ini and u will see that the ip is wrong the real ip is in the lineage2.ini but it uses the l2.exe and not lineage2.exe

but u need lineage2.exe to start the game

so i renamed it to l2.exe and placed the real ip into l2.ini and everything works fine for :D

if u dont rename it u cant use igwalker.....

so good luck and pls try to fix this stuff on your own before posting plzzz man help me i cant login with walker

oh yeah, and then start from /system/l2.exe

 

same thing u can do to IG in l2 forever
