[HELP] ddos attack

guys do you know how i can detect a ddos attack and how to protect my server from ddos attacks?

You can't protect ur server on core side or something..

First of all , use linux.

Second ,get some advanced firewall and enable only ports you need!

Third ,get a good hardware.I have seen many with some ddos attack protects (dunno even how they made it)

DDoS attack can be detected if u know how to see if port is getting flooded from outside.. and so :]
