Only Dwarfs with skills from other classes(not mage) and all skills from 1 lvl you don't need also to learn them.

Preface - Dorf Mod Version III / Dorf Mod 2009

Since March 2009 I have been working on Dorf Mod. Most of the work is with server side updates and changes and rewrites but there are some gameplay updates as changes as well. Due to complex problems and issue both in-game and out of game with some of the new updates and such for Victoria I have decided to put that on hold for now and work on Dorf Mod.

Dorf Mod should be ready by May 2009, I will announce a date at a later time.

 

Timeline for Dorf Mod

I. New version on the project started in March 2009.

II. Closed Beta, will be invite only and I hope to start it by late April 2009.

III. Open Beta, a big maybe by late April 2009, but most likely it will be in early May 2009, it all depends on how things are going and if there are any major issues or problems.

IV. Live, I have NO plans on a wipe after Open Beta. We hope to work out most of the major bugs in Closed Beta. Live should be somtime in May 2009.

 

This list is a "work in progress" It does NOT list everything and I will be updating this list over time. This list does NOT list everything and may be subject to changes and updates as work is done on Dorf Mod.

 

Adena System

I am redoing the adena system on Dorf Mod. Why you ask? Adena needs to have value, and crazy high amounts make it out of scale. The amounts are not final yet, but most items will cost low amounts on adena. This was done to avoid the "rollover and RA" stuff. A grade weapons will cost like 2k Adena and armors parts will be less then 1k. Mobs will be droping 250-500 Adena each.

 

Award Adena

After each map based on the amount of PvPs and PKs you get in the map you will be get adena. This is kind of like "cs style" as I told redorb. This is done to award players who play the game for fragging, and not sitting around farming/enchanting all day just to get +16.

 

Shopping Center

In past versions, players have been having problems of getting PKed while near the traders. So we created the Shopping Center, and all players are auto moved to the Shopping Center each map round. The Shopping Center is a peace zone and is in a small closed off area. In the Shopping Center you will find the traders as well as the clan NPC. To leave the Shopping Center you just SoE (use the return skill) and you will randomly spawn in map. You are unable to return to the Shopping Center once you SoE, you will have to wait for the next map round. There are still traders in the maps.

 

Map Updates

There are 10 maps, School of Dark Arts, Elven Fortress, Elven Ruins, Cruma, Dragon Valley Cave, Cave of Trials, Forgotten Temple, Abandoned Coal Mines, Giants Cave, and Ants Nest. As you may have known some maps had issues of bugged spawn, low number of spawns or low numbers of traders. Many of these maps have been redone and rewritten to be much better. Such as Cruma now has over 100 unique spawn points and more traders. I am not going to list all the changes, but I can tell you it is looking a lot better.

 

New Maps

In 2007 we updated the amount of maps from 4 to 10. Now I am working on adding 5 new maps for a total of 15 maps now. One of the maps I have started working on is Pagan Temple. Some of the other map areas that are being worked on selected and/or in mind are Archaic Laboratory, Stakato Nest, Imperial Tomb, and Catacomb of the Forbidden Path. Depending on time and how things are going we might add more. Maps take a lot of time and work to get them working both properly and well for game play.

 

Skill Updates

I am not going to say much about the skill updates at this time. I can tell you we are going to be doing some things to limit or make it harder for kids to "multi-weapon". We also are removing some skills such as Vicious Stance. Bow range will be 100 shorter, and snipe will not long add bow range (it says it used to add 150 range). Also the critical damage on snipe is getting nerfed by 20% so its critical hits will be weaker. Other notes on skill changes will be posted at a later time.

 

Tattoo Updates

We will be lowering the amount of tattoos from 24 to 12. At this time I will not announce with tattoos are getting removed other then critical power. I will post more updates on this at a later time.

 

Armor Updates

We have no plans to add any new armor at this time. We added new armors before and I think we are ok with the amount. We will make some armor set bonus adjustments based on weapon type. This will be to both balance out some of the stuff and help avoid “multi-weapon” users which players find annoying. I can tell you one change at this time which will be tallum heavy's attack speed bonus will not add attack speed with bows. I will make a list of the armors and there effects once we are closer to a live date.

 

No Res Scrolls

Due to the fact that last time we had problems with "LoOk My PKs, OmG mY fRaG, mAn LoOk PvP mY bIg". Players were using the res/pk to abnormally raise the amount of frags they had. We will not have any res skills or res scrolls in this version since lamez0r kids sage it up.

 

New Ranking Pages

We will have a new ranking and stats pages for Dorf Mod. This has NOT been started yet. It may also be started AFTER Dorf Mod is out, since I may not want to delay Dorf Mod for this.

 

Notes from Spadie

I know and understand that many players have ideas and suggestions about Dorf Mod. I have not listed everything that has been discussed by the IA Staff and Closed Beta members, but we did discuss a lot and cover many topics. Due to the amount of work and time it takes. The project for the most part as already decided which way it is going. If you do not understand what I mean by this, just ask an IA Staff member such they will give you a more direct answer.

 

This post will be updated later with more detailed information. The Lucia forum section will be closed from user posting until around Open Beta time.

Server Aborted  His Dorf Mod Update Server For sophia The Server Will continue the update according Illicit Awaking's Administrator at  Spring between December And February (2009-2010)

 

Pterarxos Btw i used to be also an Illicit Awaking Player  but i quited. Cause i couldn't Donate :P

Cause Ia and No Donate=Fail But i  read the forum topics do you have a forum account??
