how do i link an item if i dont have it? :P :D retarded question but i admit i dont know

If it is an item dropped by a boss/elite/rare, you can link it via AtlasLoot Enhanced.

If it is an achievement / green item for example , I dunno...

you can also go to www.wowhead.com find the item you want, and then click the "Link" button...

 

copy what's in the little box...

 

afterwards, go to WoW, and paste it in the /s chat...

 

then just Shift + Click the achievement / item where you want it (like /w or /raid)...

you can do it using an addon or by getting the item's "code"
