This is the message you get when you try to log in steam servers with non steam client. I am not sure though. This is it 70%.

I used to get that error when I was trying to connect on a steam server with packsteam(cracked steam) client.

 

I don't know your situation.

Just found this:

This works, log out of STEAM.....

Go to your steamapps directory and find the clientregistry.blob file,

Delete this file...

Restart steam...

You should be able to join now.

one of my friends were having it too ant he told me this which u told.

btw i dont know if it is true but...i just tell u what he told me.

I had this problem when I was playing with a non-steam client. Try not to join VAC secured servers, or else you'll get this error.
