Login Now Broken!?!>

Someone please help?  My L2J noob server was up, running, users connecting...now everyone is getting username/password doesn't match error...I've tried all the open the ports, autocreate accounts, no firewalls...IT WAS FINE!!! Now even accounts that I create from server side cannot be entered from client side.  I can log it internal, but...I'm at a loss...help??

You tell us that you can connect to the server from a pc on your LAN, right?

because my stupid service provider changes my ip all the time I set up the No=Ip for auto update but it's l2sacredunion.no-ip.biz on interlude :(

OH! and they are getting the same error even when I take the server down and leave the login up...if that matters

On your forum, you say:

216.107.250.194 nProtect.lineage2.com

216.107.250.194 update.nProtect.com

216.107.250.194 update.nProtect.net

 

l2sacredunion.no-ip.biz L2authd.lineage2.com

 

 

THIS IS WRONG

 

On your hosts file an IP has to be redirected to a hostname. NOT a hostname to another hostname.

 

change it to

 

75.88.253.8 L2authd.lineage2.com

( not a permanent solution)

 

 

OR

 

Use the l2file_edit(search in this forum) and edit your l2.ini(in your system folder).

That was originally the hosts when the error started, I'll put it back and see if that's a fix.  If not, any other suggestions?

PS:If you're going for a serious project, keep in mind that you'll need to rent a dedicated server.
